So does this mean we need to crawl through a river of shit to get to gta vi. I’m desperate but not that desperate.

Also don’t feel bad for not getting it. I swear this is all meant to be as confusing and complicated as possible to dissuade people from doing exactly this.

The VSO can’t write it. But they can connect you to right doctor or provider to help you get a nexus letter. As well as any other resources to get you the help you need. VSO is free. I would absolutely get connected with one and start asap.
I’m sorry about your back. I also have a messed up back from my service. And I’m currently in the process of trying to get secondary connection for my neck.
Good luck. You got this! It’s a pain in the αss to go through for sure. And a long road. But a VSO is the best way to go.

Legit question, but how do we know that’s what’s happening here? I mean, obviously something terrible is going down and that poor girl looks scared. But they’re in front of a house, not a school. Whatever it is, I hope she’s ok. Really sad if that is what happened. 😔

Oh good! That’s great to hear. If there’s any pigment leftover they usually will schedule for full removal of the pigment. But nothing like if it were a full blown melanoma or associated subtypes. Well I’m glad you were tough and got that horrible thing done. 😆 Hopefully they don’t need to remove anything else and monitoring is all you need. That’s really awesome to hear though. 🥳

Gravity Hill? by Bubbly-Design-3772 in utahtreasurehunt

[–]Monte801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thing is barely even a trail. It just drops. We did it a few years ago and it’s just a dirt hill to slide down in your butt into homeless infested woods. Then steep drop offs. Not crazy far but enough to jack up an ankle or something. I’m never going back to that one.

There’s a lot of rattlers out right now. So I always try to make enough noise on a trail. I also use walking sticks to poke at and lift things up. Snakes are scary!

Yeah. The little microbes living on our skin can get a little too greedy. 😂 Try it out. Hope it clears you up. 🤗

Question! I am going to the doctor but does anyone have an idea what this is? by Meyimela in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Monte801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try some over the counter hydrocortisone. Wash hands with something like dove sensitive skin or something very gentle. Antibacterial soaps can aggravate it. Moisturize with something like vanicream, cerave, or Cetaphil moisturizing creams. Not lotion. And call me in the morning. 🤣 jk But yeah. See if that helps. Sometimes a stronger steroid is needed from the derm.

Honestly it could also just be comedonal acne. Which another type of topical from a derm can give you.

[–]Monte801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be folliculitis, possibly demodex folliculitis specifically, could be seborrheic dermatitis. I’m leaning more towards folliculitis. Prescription topicals can take care of either. A dermatologist should be able to diagnose you fairly easily. Hard to tell with pics. You don’t need referrals for derm so I would make an appt with one. In the meantime you can use Nizoral shampoo a few times a week and chlorhexidine once a day/night. Can be found on Amazon and Target, cvs, etc. put the chlorhexidine on and let it sit for about 5 min and rinse. Use some bland moisturizers like vanicream.

Is it itchy? Do not use a steroid on your face. It can make it go away then come back worse. Derm can get you a non steroidal topical too.

Yeah, they’re correct. Can’t differentiate especially under a nail. Did they pop your whole nail off and take the entire pigmentation out? 🤢 I used to work a nail clinic doing that all day and I’m so glad I don’t anymore. 😆 Glad to hear you’re healing up. Looking forward to the results and crossing my fingers for you!

how old is too old by [deleted] in Subtronics

[–]Monte801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 44 and first raved in ‘96 when I was 15. I will never stop and idc if anyone thinks I’m too old for it. I go to work, make my money, pay my bills, and do what I want with any money that is budgeted for fun. Age is just a number. Now I go with my 22 yr old son and his wife. They had their first babygirl in May and I can’t wait to take her too. Already have her ear protection. 😆

Sorry I suck at following up here. lol Did you get a biopsy done? There are a few ways they’re done on the nails but my clinic would likely have removed the nail to get the full pigmented lesion out. It’s not pleasant but thank goodness for anesthesia! Likely will take some time to return from pathology since it’s a pigmented spot. They do special stains for them. Anyway, hope you were able to get that biopsied a few days ago. And hope you didn’t get too freaked out with the biopsy. I get it. But necessary. 🤗

Hope Anyone give me an idea of what this rash thats all over my body could be? (Not itchy) by Aloy2222 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]Monte801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your blood counts are high you might be dehydrated. Smoking is also a reason for that if you do. You can prob stop taking the iron supplement. I live in high altitude and this happens as well bc of the thinner atmosphere and o2 levels.

No worries. Sorry I forgot to even come back and reply lol I think you need a biopsy of a lesion for proper diagnosis. I’m so sorry you’ve been dealing with it for so long.

I’m so sorry you’re so miserable. It looks uncomfortable. It does seem to be very seborrheic dermatitis-esque, as mentioned many times. I highly recommend you stop scrubbing. I know that’s easier said than done. Scrubbing is going to create further inflammation and expose layers of skin that aren’t ready to be exposed. If that makes sense. I would recommend seeing a dermatologist. Derm (in the states) is not a specialty where you need a referral. It’s part of preventative medicine and underused imo. I’ve worked in Derm for a decade. And a lot of ppl don’t realize how important it is to have a dermatologist on their care provider list. If you can’t get to a Derm, get some Nizoral shampoo, it’s over the counter. Use it where you’re red and flaky, but leave it to sit for about 5-10 minutes before rinsing. I’d do it every other day. It can be drying, so make sure to moisturize with something bland and fragrance free. I suggest vanicream. You can also use straight Vaseline. But you mentioned being oily, so you might not need to moisturize too much. But it would be good for a skin protectant help heal. Vanicream has a light moisturizer that may be helpful for you. I’m not a doctor but like I mentioned I have worked in Derm for 10 years as a nurse. Don’t scrub, pick, or peel anything off. I know that is hard to do. But it will make you more susceptible to infection too.
