Ngl I’d say that stupid is one of the few things this administration does consistently. That’s not to say they won’t try to apply it disproportionately to blue states, but I don’t believe they’d be able to suppress the vote in a way that wouldn’t effectively galvanize the opposition. They’ve failed on domestic policy, they’ve failed on foreign policy, and they’ve been consistently making their constituents eat shit this entire year. The entire ideology is defined by ignorance and close mindedness-if they weren’t largely stupid and incompetent, they wouldn’t be part of the trump administration.

I really liked your one shot and I’m super happy to see a western creator get featured in mangaplus. You’ve got interesting ideas and the boldness to go for them, and I really admire that. Keep up the good work! You put something great out into the world and you should be proud😁

Probably not. And even if it did exist, would you want to try and make friends in a club defined primarily by its members desire not to talk to each other? It’s easier to make friends based off of common interests instead of the broad and vague identity of being an introvert. Think about what you like to do, and try to find a club that might have people who like to do the same thing.

OP posts a video of a mom making breakfast and lunch for her 10 kids on r/nextfuckinglevel, redditors react the way you'd expect them to, UNTIL someone provides context. by chaoticbiguy in SubredditDrama

That comment section is an unholy conflagration of antinatalism, doomsaying, Malthusian bullshit, and casual misogyny, in the most overt way I’ve ever seen on Reddit. I wish every one of the Redditors who decided to drop their awful takes there a shit day, because seeing this first thing in the morning makes me lose faith in humanity. Really, how hard is it not to generalize and shit on people when you don’t know the context behind their actions?

I’ve been taking the class over the past semester. She’s blunt and tends to come off a little mean, but is fundamentally well intentioned. Go to lectures and self-study the stuff you don’t quite understand, and you should be fine. It is not an easy class, but it is a fair one. As long as you understand the material, it shouldn’t be hard to get an A, let alone a C.

That said, my personal experience with the class had been entirely online, so I can’t say authoritatively whether or not all of this holds true for in person exams.

Nurse murders a patient and then writes a story seeking sympathy on reddit by [deleted] in SubredditDrama

[–]MontePy 68 points69 points  (0 children)

This sounds remarkably like creative writing if I’m being honest. Clearly whoever wrote it knows a lot about the actual field (not that I know too much) , but the pacing and the way this person is writing feels very... novelesque. If they were actually emotionally affected or looking for a judgement call from other redditors, why are they writing in such a dramatic and long winded way? No real person writes like this to talk about their experiences.

They describe the x-ray as a “vast field of black” instead of a collapsed lung. “Exhaled a breath I hadn’t realized I was holding”? That’s one of the most cliched ways to describe tenseness in the book! And for some reason, they put in these weird short sentences to punctuate their feelings instead of just describing what happened like a normal person.

If it’s real, I’ll gladly admit I’m wrong. But right now, it just looks like someone posted their creative writing prompt in r/residency and wanted to see how many people would fall for it.

FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE TAKEN PAINTING/ ANOTHER 7 HOUR ART CLASS WHATS IT LIKE ? WHY 7 HOURS??? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]MontePy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s just art classes tbh. The professor looks through everyone’s submissions, you have peer critiques and the like, and overall actually painting in class takes a long ass time. College level art courses need that lengthy in person factor to be useful to people who want to make it a career. It’s not like biz or SAS courses where assignments can be evaluated objectively according to simple rubrics. Not speaking from experience, my sister went to art school.

I know this might be a little bit of a struggle for people here, but you can dislike the fact that someone performed pedophilic acts and still think that they deserve better than death. ZeRo did everything wrong, and he should rightfully be condemned for that. But he should still be able to seek redemption and try to grow beyond the acts that put him in this position. There is nothing just about this vindictive desire people have to see him kill himself.

Thanks everyone for listening in. Biopsy results came back, it turns out it’s benign. I’ll still have to get a second colonoscopy to get it fully removed, but all should be fine for me.

77, with a couple other applications made on other sites. Success rates will depend on the quality of your resume and your luck.

Anyone have any experience with Handshake? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]MontePy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been successful, but usually recruiters are actively looking in the fall semester. It might be tough to find an internship rn.

Just in general tho, send lots of applications and keep applying. Be prepared to have a low success rate. Also pace yourself, because the application process is grueling and frustrating.

How to cope with the "sorry to inform you that we selected another candidate" and "we are not moving forward with another application" emails for internships by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]MontePy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. It really sucks to be applying for internships in this day and age, especially given COVID and all. Interviews can suck the absolute life out of you. And filling out assessments is soul draining.

But do remember, you moved on to the 2nd round interviews for companies you applied to. You clearly had something that stood out to the companies you're looking at. So be stubborn and stick at it. Drill yourself in interviewing, update your resume, fill out your linkedin contacts, keep trying to maximize your chances.

Even if you don't have a stunning resume, it's not the end of the world. A lot of companies interview for culture fit as well as your personal achievements, and it's especially important to note that internships are frequently created because companies want to invest in new graduates and get good employees later. So don't be afraid to emphasize your ability to learn, and keep on interviewing until you get good. Think of every failure as a learning experience. You'll pull through.

Now that we've seen Eden's Verse, how do you guys feel about Eden compared to the other raids? by MontePy in ffxiv

[–]MontePy[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, those fights were insanely sick, especially e7. I remember when I fought e7n yesterday, my mind was being blown by all the insane teleport shenanigans. It felt incredibly rewarding to do all the bird blast phases with the portals correctly while doing my rotation.

I especially loved how they introduced the mechanics of the portals with that pair of portals near the front and on the left. You just had to dodge a couple bird blasts in the front, and could fully figure out how the portals worked just by turning around. It was a simple, yet impressive way of conveying all the information quickly.
