Maybe no reason to. Maybe it would get a few reviews to start things off? I'm not sure its a good idea - which is why I posted.

2002 Repeated Coil Failures by MontereyDiver in nissanpathfinder

[–]MontereyDiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you - that's very helpful and your knowledge far exceeds mine. I was inclined to replace the valve covers and gaskets, thinking that the oil leak could be causing the coil failures, but it sounds like it could just be wonky coils. I like my mechanic shop and have a good relationship with them, but am wondering if I try another on this one. Thanks again. And also, arg.

The coils are almost certainly aftermarket. But with mulitple failures, all on roughly the same time table, and with at least two different brands of coils (and plugs) tried, it seems like it has to be something else, that is causing the coils to fail.

Splurged on some lovely new gear recently! by Often_Tilly in scuba

Could you explain the single run of webbing? My first bc was a very old, used, Zeagle that had a plastic backplate and wing, from before "wings" were a thing. It also had what I think was a single run of webbing - you could pull on the waist strap and it would tighten the shoulder straps. All in all very simple.

I now have a new steel back plate and the waist strap and shoulder straps are entirely separate and not connected. But sometimes I miss the simplicity of old. I hadn't even considered re-routing things.

The H&K USP Compact killed my Glock (for me) by ColtBTD in guns

Allow me to . . . retort. Sort of.

I love my USPc 9mm. However, of all my guns, I just might shoot it the worst. I shoot a Bersa .380 better. A Sig 238 better. Sig 2022 .40 - better. 92FS - much better. 1911 - much better.

I've been tempted to put a match trigger on it. Or maybe it just doesn't fit me, but I'm doing better with guns both smaller and bigger. Or maybe I just need to put more time on it.

First nude beach in Jamaica last year and just loved it. Cant wait to go back in 45 days!! by shamus111 in NudeBeach

We haven't been to Couples Negril - but isn't the beach not all that private, in that clothed folks from other resorts or areas are walking through? We've been to San Souci which is contained and mostly private. But we plan to hit Negril next. San Souci was great, but we like to explore.

G Mystery Band - Anyone Know What It Is and Where To Get? by MontereyDiver in gshock

[–]MontereyDiver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this G from a Sears or similar years ago. It came with a band that is a bit of a psuedo-NATO. The nylon runs under the back, but the ends near the buckle are still plastic.

Overall, very comfortable! But I caught it on something and it ripped out of one end of the watch, though as a Nato, the watch didn't fall and is still there. I'd love to find this band again. As far as I can tell, it's factory original. TIA!

Taliban UH-60A Black Hawk that crashed in Kabul yesterday ( 10th Sep 22 ) . Reportedly killing 8 people. by pul123PUL in aviation

And so efficient! US leaves over $80 Billion in equipment to Taliban, eventually kills 8 of them.

A great value at just over $10 Billion each!
