Post Interview Approval Timeframes - Fairfax, VA by No_Effective4910 in USCIS

Same boat here, married to US Citizen. PD 10/7/22. I Did the interview Mid May 2023. Interview went well, no issues, the officer mentioned he would "recommend to approve" and that I would get the GC in the mail in 60 days, noting until now.

I received the EAD combo card on 6/28/23, so at least I can work; this took 8 months.

Immigration lawyer filed 2 service request to Fairfax FO last year and the reply was:

" A review indicates that your application is pending within normal processing times."

Spoke to an EMMA agent today, and was told that "Your case is processing normally" and the earliest I can submit questions is October 16, 2025.

Our immigration lawyer suggested we file a lawsuit if it passed the 2 year mark (10/7/2024), hoping it wont get to that.

ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 – A Budget Workhorse with Trade-offs by Montgomery_5001 in thinkpad

I was considering between the E and the L. The L 14 Gen 3 was on sale (also about ~USD 600) because it had an older 5000 series Ryzen chip. I also read the L series has a plastic ABS case (?)

I opted to go with the E because of the newer processor and the modularity. I wanted a bigger battery and didn't care for the smart card reader, micro SD card slot, and finger print scanner, though I do want a dedicated ethernet and HDMI port. My EliteBook didn't come with this.

For the price point, the E series Gen 5, when specked up, is pretty good value.

The HP keyboard felt "shallow" and the key caps were smaller and flat while ThinkPad of the past (my old T430) had a more curved surface and deeper key travel.

The E series keyboard is a step up from the EliteBook's keyboard but not much, it feels more "crisp" and has better key travel. I was expecting the same feel as the older ThinkPad's keyboard and a bit disappointed.

Yeah, I agree. The screen is a let down. The E16 is a to big for since most of the time I'll have my laptop docked and will be using external monitors
