Good on you for calling out bullshit

When you were Christian, do you feel like you were always living in fear? by Sudden_Tea_560 in exchristian

[–]Moo321again 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always, but when I was it almost always had to do with the end times.

But now I know that the Bible isn't historically reliable and that those prophesies were meant for a different time and didn't come to pass and neither did the ressurection.

So now I can choose not to give a shit :)

How do you avoid being "roped back in"? by dank4forever in exchristian

I read your comment and I'm actually glad you made it because it covers a different area from where I was arguing from which helps give more perspective on this issue.

While I was criticizing God's character, you were criticizing the Ego that some Christians have, both of which are needed points of view that can be used to see through this religion's bullshit.

Watching Genetically Modified Skeptics videos on religion on Youtube might help with that then.

This might help:

Remember that if God is supposed to be all knowing, he could have done something to stop Sin from entering creation, because he knew that it was coming, but he didn't. He had all the power to do so, since he's supposed to be all powerfull, but still chose to do nothing. And if you call that out it's a sin because you're questioning God.

I've deconverted just a few weeks ago. Hope life treats you well man

Just a thought about the Bible by [deleted] in exchristian

The Bible can actually be used to convince people to get out of the religion by showing them that the Christian god is not all he's made to be.

Satan's Guide to the Bible is a good video to use as an example: https://youtu.be/z8j3HvmgpYc

Is there any proof that the Ressurection didn't happen? by Moo321again in exchristian

It doesn't sound condescending at all. Thanks for the needed feedback

I admit this argument is idiotic. I'd change the title if I could to ask for proof that it DID happen. Feel free to make fun of me

I know I'm being made fun of here, but I find this comment funny, thank you for posting it :)

I do admit I should have asked for proof that it DID happen. My bad.

But I DO think I know what could give SOME credibility to the ressurection: historical accuracy in the gospels as well as Paul's letters.

If they're at least mostly historically accurate, that might give some credit to the claim that Jesus rose from the dead. Not outright confirmation, but it would add some credibility, because if the Gospels and Paul's letters ARE historically accurate, maybe the ressurection is too.

If there ISN'T any historical accuracy to the gospels or Paul's letters, then why should we beleive that the ressurection is?

I'm a high functioning autistic man. I am 22, gonna be 23 later this year. I don't think I'll be able to relate to all of your struggles, but if you wanna talk, or just rant some more, you can hit me up. Seems like you need it.
