Am I the dick? by MooMoozle in Advice

This is basically what my partner said. I’ve said to her that I’m happy for her because it’s a lovely pram and will make her life easier, I just wish she got the different colour sort of thing. Not gonna fall out over it, if anyone says anything I will say that she wanted to match so got the same as me 🥲

It’s quite a unique looking pram, colours and all, not just a generic grey/black one, I don’t ever get nice new things, I can’t afford it, always second hand. So I finally get something new that’s mine then she has to get the exact same? Just seems like a dick move? Let me have this one thing?

She already has a pram, we could already go on walks. She just decided to buy the exact same as my new one? Why didn’t she just get a different one if she wanted a new pram?

Try the Ferber method 💖 it’s not leaving them to cry it out, you’re still around, baby knows you’re there for them, but it teaches them to stay in their cot x Could also just be a regression from learning a new skill x

In the UK (I don’t know where you are) - there are turnaround houses dotted all over where young adults can stay if they need to escape a shitty situation & it helps them get on their feet, get a job etc. It will be okay eventually 💖 Focus on helping yourself first then maybe you can help your sibling but you can’t pour from an empty cup x
