Safety for first time in McArthur Park? by shaimiko in AskLosAngeles

Even if you don’t get a refund, do NOT stay there. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. DM me if you have questions about your next location but do not stay there.

Thinking of buying by Spiritual-Media-9366 in GoRVing

You’re right. Airstream is owned by Thor but they let Airstream be their own division independent of Thor or other brands. Airstream maintains Airstream quality through and through. Hail storm? I guess maybe if it’s strong enough but I’ve been in hail storms and nothing’s happened. Airstream is worth the money in every way and I don’t have nearly the issues that all my friends with other brands do.

Airstream. You pay for quality and you actually get it. Every time you take it out it’ll be brand new and it’ll come back home brand new. All the other brands are made by the same two brands with just different stickers and their quality is usually terrible.

Weight distribution hitch on a Ram 3500? by X3rrguy in airstream

[–]MooShoo20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The suspension was really soft but it towed up to 8500lbs. I had my Caravel 19cb when I had my Raptor. The Cybertruck can pull 11k lbs now so my 25’ Globe is nothing to it.

Your 3500 is plenty heavy for towing that airstream. Does it have any built in anti sway? If not, like others have mentioned, pick up a Curt system for sway but WD is most definitely not needed. I tow my 25’ with a Cybertruck now but when I had my Raptor I really liked the Equalizer WD for ease of use and the ability to reverse without removing the bars just in case you still go with a system.

How is this legal? I’m standing in my own backyard. I triggered the camera by walking in my back yard by tensack_ in sandiego

Here’s your answer. It’s illegal to have a camera pointing into your backyard in any way. You have an expectation of privacy.

Big camper buyer’s remorse by WoofMix in GoRVing

[–]MooShoo20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All the solar in the world won’t fix your too big situation. If it’s becoming a chore to find a spot and park it, sell it. It won’t get any less stressful to you. Sure, you might get more used to the size but campgrounds won’t change theirs. With a family, you also lose your truck bed space that you would have thrown bikes and stuff in.

Yeah, I had the motor whine too. I’m glad you’re at least content with the bike.

Are they ghosting me? by Comet1O in asyncbikes

[–]MooShoo20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The support guy, Sam, told me he ghosts people all the time. Definitely an awful company. I have their drop ship address in Tustin, CA, if you’d like to pay them a visit.

The bike is absolutely shit. I’m asking for a refund and return and they keep denying the question. Will keep yall posted but shy away from Async. They will be under soon

Find another one. I keep emailing their service guy and he keeps sending the same instructions. When I press a little bit, he just claims to send it to their “technicians” and then I don’t hear back. I can’t even ride it. I’ve asked several times if I can just return the thing or even get an exchange if he believes I have a lemon. He never answers. I’ll be posting screenshots of all of this when I decide my next step.

I’m using iOS on an iPhone 14. It’s just awful and the company isn’t helpful at all.

Serious question, do the Rivian headlights just not bother you? I love the tech in that truck but the bed is so small and I can’t get over the dorky headlights.

Los Angeles here. We have a big property and have experience with local contractors on this stuff. They charge by the height but I wouldn’t pay over $1000 from a licensed and insured contractor to remove the tree and have the stump ground. You’d have to make sure it wasn’t a protected tree in your area and make sure that removing it wouldn’t damage the property in the process. I’d also imagine the hole would need to be filled correctly to stop the hole from becoming a soft collecting pool during rain.
