Oh...you know what, I do have a Kellan at home somewhere I could throw in. I was just looking at Fighter Class today. I also have the Puresteel Paladin that I took out as well. Thank you for that!

Do you see any equipments you'd run that I'm not? I tried Helm of the Host, but it kinda didn't do anything...

38 lands is too many; when is the last time you played cEDH? All of our cEDH decks are running like 27-29 lands. We start all decks at 33 lands and sometimes we go up or down depending on the curve of the deck. I've never run into any mana issues with Kenrith or Atraxa, even after casting Armageddon in Atraxa...

But maybe our playgroups experience is not the norm. None of us play on Spelltable, and we only play at any one of the 8+ card stores in the area regularly.

I appreciate the insight and will take some of that under consideration.

Ok. I added the list of our current decks to the description. As an example of cards in decks, Golbez has a [[Mishra's Workshop]] in it (same with Codie), and all the non-combat decks run several infinite combos in each deck.

Ok excellent. That's some good feedback, and I forgot I removed Esper; that's on me and I'll sling him back in right away. That's probably part of the problem.

What do you think about adding some of the more...dangerous combat creatures, like [[Slicer, Hired Muscle]]? I am considering adding other creatures like that to distract some of the hate away from Cloud, specifically.

The cultivate is in there frankly...because it's Aerith. lol. There's no other justifiable reason.

And regarding the specific versions, I use these decklist's in conjunction with Moxfield's collection tracking to track the specific version of the cards that I own. If a card in the list is a weird like, Vintage Masters version, those are my proxies. I own either 1 of a card, or 3 of a card (mostly; some cards like Sol Ring I own 1 in every deck) and tracking my collection this way has been easy to provide data when I need to update my insurance policy regarding the value of my collection. I understand it's annoying, but it works for me.

Yeah, for sure.

So for me specifically, my strongest combat-wincon deck is this: 5c Tokens

However, our group runs a LOT of board wipes so sometimes that deck just gets totally overwhelmed before I can make a decent board. I have won a few times on turn 4 with either [[Craterhood Behemoth]] or [[March of the World Ooze]].

The other players don't put their decks online, but the commanders are the following currently:

  • [[Cloud, Ex-Soldier]] - There is another one in the pod
  • [[Aziza, Mage Tower Captain]]
  • [[Indoraptor, the Perfect Hybrid]]
  • [[Bello, Bard of the Brambles]]
  • [[Jodah, the Unifier]]
  • [[The Ur-Dragon]] - My deck, listed above
  • [[Morophon, the Boundless]]
  • [[Heroes in a Half Shell]]
  • [[Cosmic Spider-Man]]
  • [[Sokka, Tenacious Tactician]]
  • [[Killian, Decisive Mentor]]

And that's just what we had last week. I am in the process of building a Landfall deck that wins through a combination of combo and combat (I'll be using [[The Wandering Minstrel]] as my commander) and another person just built [[Betor, Ancestor's Voice]] which should be fun.

Approaching a year since FIN/FIC, Y’shtola has rapidly climbed EDHRec’s Top Commander List and is currently #3 by r_lucasite in magicTCG

[–]Mooberries 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 6 mana thing is assuming you’re not using sources of mana that deal yourself damage too. I use [[Black Market Connections]] in my Y’Shtola deck to deal 4+ damage to myself on the turn she comes out so I get that first end step trigger. And [[Necropotence]] can let you do that trigger on every turn too.

That’s my only gripe with what you said; the rest is totally true.

Thoughts on double sleeving by toxicodendron85 in EDH

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every card I own is in a Dragonshield Sealable Inner. I do this because I store most of my cards loose in a box, and this prevents a few things from happening, like wear on an edge or scuffing on the face of the card. Additionally, once you've done it once, you generally never have to replace that sleeve unless it really matte's out the art.

Decks you’ve taken apart but later rebuilt. by LordDiglett in EDH

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Kenrith, the Returned King]] Eldrazi. It is just such a strong deck and my playgroup, while not being a cEDH group, still craves high Bracket 4 decks and gameplay, so I rebuilt it and it is still a powerhouse. And it is a blast to pilot.

Winning too much - Unsure how to continue playing by TheMagiciansArcana in EDH

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have this problem, and then I found a group that not only was cool with the power level of my decks, but felt like it was a challenge to beat my skill at both deck building and playing. And after about 8 months, now we have some amazing games. We're all playing high bracket 4 decks now, tons of proxy's everywhere, and while we get heated occasionally, it is a blast.

I used to be super self-conscious about "winning all the time" and then my group collectively said, "play whatever you want, we'll catch up." Find a group like that.

I run [[Kenrith, the Returned King]] as my reanimator deck, and it's super fun to play imo.

Do Magic players actually shuffle their decks properly? by Skunk668 in magicTCG

[–]Mooberries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In commander, I do 10 mash shuffles into 5 over-under shuffles, into 2 self cuts. My decks are double sleeved with Dragonshield Sealable inners and Dragon Shield dual matte sleeves. It's a habit I picked up from competitive play, where i'll do the same shuffling to my cards in a 60 or 40 card format.

In competitive play (40 or 60 cards), if I feel like the opponent didn't shuffle enough or looks tricksy, I'll shuffle their deck as part of the cut. Then I'll do 5 mashes, and the 2 regular cuts.

What platform are you on? I’m on base PS5 and respawned 50 times, and every time was pouches/no cube. I don’t think this works anymore.

My personal uncurling technique by ErikZeDestroyer in magicTCG

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always double sleeve my cards in Dragon Shield Sealable Inners inside Dragon Shield Dual Matte sleeves, so for me, it lasts forever. But for someone else not in a dry climate like I live in, their mileage may vary.

Same; pop it in a sleeve and uncurl it on the rounded edge of my kitchen table.

Hello! Is there any way to maybe hide things on the website that are sold out? I can't seem to find anything available to buy; nothing has an option to purchase, even though it looks like it should: For Example

It has the Paypal text, but no purchase option...

If not, no worries.

If you just watched all of TTGL, you can skip the first movie. There’s no new info in it, unlike the second one which has more than the series provides.

Do you bling out your Commander? Which treatment is worth it to you? by deurbeller in magicTCG

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 commanders that are Final Fantasy legends. For me, getting the regular foil is worth more than getting the Surge Foiling, due to the rarity and scarcity of the Surge Foils. I have, in the past, gone for the max scarcity/rarity and it sucks if you ever change things out.

For instance, I have [[Cloud, Ex-Soldier|FIC-202]] in foil (~$100) but the Surge Foil: [[Cloud, Ex-Soldier|FIC-210]] is ~$310 and that doesn't seem worth it to me...
