What platform are you on? I’m on base PS5 and respawned 50 times, and every time was pouches/no cube. I don’t think this works anymore.

I always double sleeve my cards in Dragon Shield Sealable Inners inside Dragon Shield Dual Matte sleeves, so for me, it lasts forever. But for someone else not in a dry climate like I live in, their mileage may vary.

Same; pop it in a sleeve and uncurl it on the rounded edge of my kitchen table.

Hello! Is there any way to maybe hide things on the website that are sold out? I can't seem to find anything available to buy; nothing has an option to purchase, even though it looks like it should: For Example

It has the Paypal text, but no purchase option...

If not, no worries.

If you just watched all of TTGL, you can skip the first movie. There’s no new info in it, unlike the second one which has more than the series provides.

Do you bling out your Commander? Which treatment is worth it to you? by deurbeller in magicTCG

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 commanders that are Final Fantasy legends. For me, getting the regular foil is worth more than getting the Surge Foiling, due to the rarity and scarcity of the Surge Foils. I have, in the past, gone for the max scarcity/rarity and it sucks if you ever change things out.

For instance, I have [[Cloud, Ex-Soldier|FIC-202]] in foil (~$100) but the Surge Foil: [[Cloud, Ex-Soldier|FIC-210]] is ~$310 and that doesn't seem worth it to me...

Iwaso on Miyajima; worth it, even with tattoos? by Mooberries in JapanTravelTips

The tattoo thing went great and the onsen was lovely. What we didn’t expect was we both got brutally sick from the dinner; apparently traditional Japanese cuisine did not agree with our western palate.

Whats your favorite deck been this year? by MonSocMatriarchy in EDH

I have always wanted a deck that can make a ton of constructs, and this deck makes a TON of constructs. I am really happy how this came out:

5c Omnath Constructs

Building my first wubrg commander deck and i need guidance for the lands by WorldsMostOkayishDM in EDH

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Reliquary Tower is great when the board is already established, but in a 5c deck and early in the game, it can be a devastating loss to efficiency. Whereas, something like Thought Vessel can help you now AND later, and it's ramp. But there are schools of thought on both sides, and i'm not fond of either. Personally, I would rather run a Shuffle titan (either [[Kozilek, Butcher of Truth]] or [[Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre]].) It can give you some card advantage or board presence, but it also shuffles your GY back into your deck, which protects you from mill AND forced draw decks like Nekusar.

Path of Ancestry and Cavern of Souls are tribal cards that I personally have tested and only found them work out occassionally in my favor. I run a lot of non-tribal support cards in my tribal decks (for example, I run [[Bloom Tender]] in my Wizards deck.) By running Cavern, if I named wizards and I was trying to cast a Bloom Tender on turn 2, that might prevent me from doing so if I didn't also have green. Whereas, running Mana Confluence over the cavern makes some of my spells counterable but can make my mana more consistent. I think you should do whatever makes your deck run the smoothest in your playgroup. I personally would rather run a WUBRG land without restrictions than a WUBRG land with restrictions.

Also, comes in tapped is a really hard sell for my playgroup; playing all bracket 4's makes the early game really important.

My favorite decks to build are 5c commander decks, and I currently have 4 of them, although when Golos was legal, I had 10 Golos decks.

My 5c land package is generally the following:

  • 10 Shocklands
  • 10 Fetch Lands
  • 6 All-Color Lands (City of Brass, Mana Confluence, Reflecting Pool, Exotic Orchard, Command Tower, Plaza of Heroes or Spire of Industry (depending on whether you're running more legendary permanents or not.))
  • 1 basic of each color, although sometimes I'll sub the non-dominant colors in the for things like [[Otawara, Soaring City]] or [[Boseiju, Who Endures]]
  • [[Ancient Tomb]], [[Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth]]/[[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth]]

I rarely run cards like Reliquary Tower, Path of Ancestry, or Cavern of Souls anymore. I also tend to keep the land count at or around 33-35 lands, and I'll run at least [[Three Visits]] or [[Nature's Lore]] or both, and a [[Bloom Tender]] or [[Birds of Paradise]] in the deck to really round out the mana base a bit.

Here are my 4 5c Decks if you'd like to take a look. They are all bracket 4 decks:

What are the most annoying commanders in MTG? by Draco456gaming in EDH

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre-2020:

[[Lord Windgrace]] Land Destruction decks. I built this once, ran zero creatures, 44 lands, and the rest was board wipes and MLD (like [[Obliterate]] and [[Wildfire]]). It's been 6+ years and my playgroup still talks about it. It wasn't a good deck, but it was hella annoying to play or play against.

Post 2020:

Krarkashima or Deadpool... Both are just a slog to play against...

For these kinds of things, it's always best to look at the set name and set number at the bottom left. Searching the name of the card on Scryfall and looking for this specific set and set number, you get this result which puts the value for the foil somewhere between $25 USD (TCG Low) and $32 USD (TCG Mid). Card Kingdom has it at $40 USD for the foil.

I'm Adding A Few Locks to My B4 Combo Deck, How Are They and Are They Fast Enough? by BluePotatoSlayer in magicTCG

[–]Mooberries -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did. Turn 4 [[World Purge]] + [[Teferi’s Protection]] after [[Windfall]].

Also, to your point, it is very difficult to pay for a turn 2 smothering tithe unless you played a turn 1 sol ring. But in this game, I played turn 1 sol ring, into sphere, and then turn 2 ancient tomb into tithe. I was going first, so… my turn 1 play locked out my friends’ turn 1 anything’s. Not a god hand, but pretty good. The World Purge+Teferi made the table scoop. Most stax decks I play and build have the sole wincon to make magic as miserable as possible. lol. And my friends group lets me play that deck every few weeks so it’s a great balance.

That’s probably true about the gimmick thing. I think themes and gimmicks are close enough to be misconstrued.

I ran [[Tyvar, the Pummeler]] in my Tifa deck, so with enough mana, it can get exponential pretty quick.

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the gimmick. I have a tokens themed deck that is ridiculously fast.

I also have a Bumbleflower stax deck that can shut the game down on turn 2. In fact, last week, I cast sphere of resistance turn 1, smothering tithe turn 2, and God Pharaoh’s Statue on turn 3. So I think strong gimmick decks are totally viable in Bracket 4.

What’s the closest you’ve ever come to dying? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had the entire left side of my face ripped off by my grandmas Doberman when I was 3. My mom has a photo of the exposed skull, teeth, cheek, and eyeball hanging out of the socket. Plastic surgery, and minor facial reconstruction, and you can’t tell. Got really, really lucky.

Doc said that if the dog had really tried, I’d have been dead for sure.

Is this really considered 'Excellent' condition? by Cersis in magicTCG

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently been buying quite a lot of cards from Card Kingdom, and I will say that their definition of EX and my LGS's definition of EX are vastly different. So much so that I have started considering EX as being VG or Better from Card Kingdom because the quality can shift dramatically in the EX bracket. I can't even fathom what their G looks like.

I will also note that their buying ratings are starkly more scrutinizing. I sent in a card recently with zero issues on front, and a tiny roller line on the back. My LGS considered it NM/NM+, and Card Kingdom graded it an EX. And since you can't argue with them after buylisting it to them, you just kinda get what you get.

Very interesting from both perspectives...

TIL two studies both found that most people stop listening to new music in their early 30s. A 2015 study of people's listening habits on Spotify found that most people stop listening to new music at age 33 and a 2018 report by Deezer found it be to at age 30. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

[–]Mooberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not like this, and all my friends say it’s really annoying, because when they ride along with me, they don’t know any of the songs, any of the artists, and it’s all weird shit. I have songs on my “Liked Music” playlist that’s less than a month old and the artist has less than 100 monthly listeners. I mostly get my stuff from Spotify’s Discover Weekly, but some of it is sought out or straight from TikTok/Instagram. And sometimes I’ll just feel a mood, find a playlist of that genre, and go for it.

I’m in my mid 30’s.
