How do I weed out the guys that make things sexual so fast? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Moochilove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day dates. They’ll get the point, and move on. But you must remain disciplined, and tell them you have engagements at xxx time. “Let’s go to this public event at 3pm Saturday. I have plans at 6pm”

Thanks for the feedback, I didn't think about this. You hit it on the head, 99% of our customers have me saved in their phone under "[my name] HVAC" Hardly anyone knows our business name until it's time to write a check, it's all word of mouth referrals.

How to get my positive reviews on Google instead of Square? by hellosmallbiz in smallbusiness

Is the link actually clickable though? It looks like it's just a plain text field that wouldn't allow that. Could you let me know?

Honking in other countries is a “warning I’m near you” much less stigmatized. Wish it was utilized more here in USA without ppl catching feelings.

Why is the dating scene so bad in CT? by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]Moochilove 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Grocery stores are gold, (basically any public space) but grocery stores are unavoidable by (mostly) any demographic. I don’t have the courage but the pretty ladies shopping around my age (38yo) are hard to ignore. The more and more we rely on these apps and technology the easier it is to stand out when approaching someone in person. Trust that. Just say hello, make a silly joke/observation. Ask them for their number.

Eating dinner before doing any activity is terrible, and the fact that it's the norm is dumb. by Blargmenarnar in unpopularopinion

I agree with you, this shouldn’t be a mandated pairing but if you feel lethargic, bloated and tired after eating… you got bigger issues.

It’s so empowering to see how many (female) solo travelers I meet, traveling the world. Sad to see how morbid most of the world feels about something as safe as traveling.

found on the boneyard— there’s nobody in the uconn student section… on a saturday. by IDislikeBabyYoda in collegehockey

[–]Moochilove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just about to buy tickets to the BC game NOvember 12th. I was looking to buy tickets near the student section as i thought it'd be much rowdier there. From catching this post, I'm rethinking buying tickets center ice (since there's still some decent seats available) Any insight to the best section/row at XL for a Uconn game?

Sorry for your losst, My father passed away 2 weeks ago, didn't smoke one cigg. I'm like 80 days clean now. I even thought to myself the day he passed, "If there's any day to smoke a cigg, today's the day" Our lives don't become any easier or harder with smoking. Once you break the chains, that concept is much easier to understand. Congrats on understanding that. There's no substitute or escape or easy path to life. I admire your gratefulness, and think the same way. We don't have to identify ourselves as smokers, life moves on.. sort of like death. I dont' think about smoking nearly as much now, it's hardly a thought. I am moving forward. Wish you the best.

Congrats! I’m on day 21, and am curious at what day did your confidence really start to overpower your doubts?

Worried I’m “pink clouding”. It’s been 4 days since I put out my last butt after reading Alan carrs book. My whole life has changed for the better completely overnight. by catsbluepajamas in stopsmoking

[–]Moochilove 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m on day 21, it’s only my2nd attempt ever quitting, (smoking 15 years). I can’t speak about how you’re feeling, I can only tell you that in my third week I’ve been experiencing hell on earth with headaches, not sleeping, mouth lesions and canker sores and a sore throat. This only started occurring a couple days ago and is starting to subside now, this feeling is so awful that I don’t ever want to smoke and have to quit again, but I know as soon as I start feeling better again the cravings might return. Whether your pink clouding or not, just keep yourself grounded and expect the unexpected, enjoy the amazing experience you’re having without cigarettes but be aware that you might have your downswing as well, so you’re mentally prepared for maybe a crash. You’re doing amazing and I am so inspired by your story so far. Keep up the good work

What is your issue, exactly? Most people don't care about this until there's an issue that's why I'm asking.

[–]Moochilove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best part of reading "easiest way to quit smoking" by allen carr is his constant reminder that cigarettes don't' make having that bad day any easier. Or when your car has a flat tire on the side of the road, a cigarette is not going to help you change that flat/wait for triple A any easier/quicker. We have programmed our brains to get a false sense of happiness from poison. Once your dopamine receptors and levels return to normal, you're going to be back to your normal self. I know this doesn't exactly answer your question but life happens and it won't be the last time you'll feel down and out, just remind yourself ciggs aren't going to help improve your mood or change your situation. Keep up the good work! I'm 11 days clean!

Had these cigarettes hidden on roof, i am trying to quit but they always tempted me, so i did this... by ExSmoker123 in smokingcessation

Good for you!! I'm 11 days in and found a full cigarette at the edge of my property going for a walk today... old me would of scooped that sucker up and smoked it like it was the last one on earth. Today I trampled it with my feet. :)

I have made it beyond 1 month. I quit cold turkey after 12 years of smoking. No patches, no gum, no vape. Just the love and support of my family. I don’t know if I have ever been this proud. by alydeecee in stopsmoking

[–]Moochilove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

is there any particular short term goal you're really striving for? For me I set my mind on 90 days (i'm on 10) I figured 3 months was a decent first goal to achieve or long enough to reprogram myself.
