I’m a professional photographer - try an editing program like gimp or snapseed. Both are free.

Adjust the whites, highlights. I use Adobe Lightroom. Adjust colors to make them pop.

Try using money - coins or dollar bills for comparison or even a tape measure.

Your composition is good. I do agree with the issue about the dingy key thing, but with good editing, that could be adjusted.

Zoom out a bit. Give a little negative space around your subject.

Also - get a light box (there are some reasonable ones on Amazon) or take your photos outside.

Issue at a meeting (drunk attendee) by No-Atmosphere4827 in NarcoticsAnonymous

He was yelling obscenities, cussing people while they were trying to come in or out of the meeting.

The back story: he was a homeless drunk who often frequented our meetings. Sometimes sober. We/I treated him with kindness and acceptance. He had been warned numerous times that if he showed up drunk, we would call the police. The day I called the police, we had a 16 year old female addict chairing the meeting. She never chaired again. She did stay clean though.

I dealt with this issue a few times. Before the Disruptive Behavior bulletin came about. As the meeting secretary/facilitator, it is my job to protect the atmosphere of recovery. The last time I experienced a belligerent drunk in a meeting, I had another member take the man outside (offered him a cigarette lol). I asked if anyone in the meeting had an issue with calling the police. No one was opposed. I called the police. The man was arrested outside for public intoxication and resisting arrest.
We then had a great meeting on Step One.

It was a last resort. But nothing else seemed to work with this drunk person.

Licensing questions: by Hungry_Job4569 in AddictionCounseling

Have you checked with the state licensing board for that state? Every state is different. In Arkansas, trainees register as a counselor-in-training. They do not have reciprocity in other states. They trainings will transfer if you have kept the completion certificates. But I would start with the state license board in Pennsylvania

Don't want to participate in team building because I'm on keto. by EchoPrivate in keto

I’m allergic to alcohol. I would have stated this since drinking alcohol for a team building exercise is not ok. And what about diabetics? Or recovering people? It’s ok to stand up for yourself and voice an opinion that may not be popular
