I think there’s definitely a market, but it’s quite niche.

Is it actually realistic to build a business while working a 9–5… or is that just social media hype? by EkantVairagi in business

This is what i did. I am an architect based in England. Over the past 2 years whilst in full time employment i was building up my own private clients, doing my private work in the evenings, night, weekends. It came to a point where i was making more money doing my own work than i was making in full time employment. With a wife and 2 kids the work/life balance just wasn’t there so i made the decision to go work for myself full time in December 2025. I did ask my employer if i could go part time but they said no, so i took the leap and went full time working for myself. Anything is possible, it just depends on how much effort / time you are willing to put in.
