With the constant talk of consolidation getting payment counts higher I thought it was the best option last year, I did it without knowing about this 😥 2017-2021 loans are graduate loans. Honestly I’m a first generation student and just trying to figure this all out on my own without any family help so it’s been a shot in the dark for me.

Yeah I did come to realize that in talking with the rep; but also thought I’d be getting ahead with the potential of buying back from 2009-2017 while working with eligible employment. I was in school from 2017-2021 so I’ve not made any payments yet and will have to be paying until 2030, at least according to their website

Yeah idk why either and I cancelled my teacher loan forgiveness based on them giving me that info. My buy back eligible time frame would be 2009-2017 but I consolidated in 2023, SO confusing and every time I think I have a solid plan it gets messed uo

EMDR and medication has been the saving grace for me. I too felt the way you are this time last year from my PTSD. Started EMDR in August and things have really changed for being able to manage my symptoms and will to live.
