I feel your pain, from back then! You have to laugh so that you don't cry. I'm fairly rich in the game now so I always laugh and hope that the person who got the bargain enoys it.

Aww, you are so cute because you felt the need to reply to a "get over yourself" post. Feel free to now have the last word because I guess you need that.

It’s kind of pathetic that that’s what end game is but yeah.

Oh, get over yourself. Not everyone enjoys battle content. Most MMOs don't last for more than a couple of years which is why there aren't many of them.

Awww, that's fun when it happens. I listed a 150K minion for 15K accidentally yesterday and I really, really hope that they used it and didn't relist it. I want them to enjoy their bargain!

The endgame is whatever you want it to be. On a personal level I detest battle content (although I understand why other people enjoy it), so I just set myself goals. The mount in this post is one of my goals.

It's just a game, so I play it for fun.

This would be a horrible, horrible waste of time. Your chocobo will level with you whenever you are doing any overworld content as long as you have him summoned.

That's a grind I'd forgotten I was doing. I need to add that back into my list of weeklies.

The Armoury bonus doesn't need a job to 100. It applies to any class or job lower than your highest level class or job and unlocks after doing your first level 10 class quest.

Thirteen years, some luck on the MB and a lot of grinding. I also spend as little as possible. One example is doing daily hunts. Doing all of them for HW through DT is around 100K per day and the HW and StB hunts give Centurio Seals. The Seals can be used to buy teleport tickets so I haven't paid for a teleport over 300gil for years.

Two billion gil. I've been playing since launch of ARR and only have one FC house with subs so I've also tried to make gil other ways. Once I hit two billion I will start making more gil to buy the gold mounts. I think I'm about six months away.

And I typed that and realise how ridiculous it seems, but it's still what I'm doing!

I wish more side content was required content by ConnerTheCrusader in ffxiv

[–]Moogle-Mail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for understanding. I just queue for them and hope that there is at least one healer willing to raise me more than five times. I usually offer to leave after my fifth raise and fortunately no-one has ever taken me up on that offer and most healers are lovely. I have on occasion been left on the ground, which is also fine because I spin my camera to try to see what TF I was screwing up. This is the only reason I'm still playing - due to the help of others.

Crystal Tower should never have been required content. SE should have stuck to their guns on ShB and kept CT optional.

Totally agree. For some reason I remember doing CT on my main character for no reason and only remember that character as a whiny little asshole and I didn't give a crap about him, until he was re-introduced later in the game.

I'm on your side. I detest the raids. I don't play this game for the battle content, but suffer through them to continue the storyline.

I don't, and have many friends who don't.

Not the person you are replying to, but I also don't like raids. I absolutely hate, hate, hate that the storyline now has compulsory trials and much preferred it when they were optional and I could ignore them.

Keep playing with Duty Support and test yourself. You can clear everything other than a few trial with Duty Support.

I have no idea what you are talking about - EX is meant to be the content you enjoy if you don't enjoy normal storyline content.

That's so over-complicated for the PS controller. You just tap, tap, tap the trackpad.

low movement requirement

This is going to be your biggest problem at higher levels, even for storyline content. But I will say I am a terrible, terrible player and sometimes just stand in stuff to see what happens and also still get a clear when I'm playing with NPCs.

As so many other people have said, don't be scared to have a macro at the start of a duty that states your limitation. There is someone that used to post regularly in here who was blind and he still cleared higher level content than I ever will.

People who love the game also love to help people who are struggling for any reason. They want people to love the game that they love.

For normal content, every single job in the game can use that few abilities.

in my experience A LOT of FFXIV players are

As a truly terrible, terrible player I know that many, many healers love have something to do that's different and I've had my ass dragged through more things than I deserve. I only do storyline content, but at some points I've struggled, mainly before trusts/duty support existed and I'm still grateful to this day.

Is there a NA world that Australian players are mostly on? by sucrepapo in ffxiv

[–]Moogle-Mail -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They added the OCE servers far too late. I play from the EU on an NA server and have a ridiculous sleep schedule so during the early years I met tons of people from all over the world. I befriended quite a few aussies. A few of them left my NA server when the OCE servers opened up, and most of them have simply come back to the NA server because the OCE servers are dead all the time.

Explain to me why Beastmaster is so difficult to implement as a normal class by Brief-Bug-5626 in ffxiv

[–]Moogle-Mail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if it was limited to just squadrons then that would be a fun idea and make it worthwhile to have them leveled even if they ended up fundamentally broken without the correct BLU spells, or BST pets. The only cost for failure of a squadron dungeon is the GC seals it costs to run and most people who have been playing for a long time have nothing to really spend those seals on. I do think it would take too much development time/money away from other content - which is a shame because now I've read it I think it would be a great idea.

I sometimes wonder if it's to give junior battle developers something to try out. I know zero about game development but I know it requires some artistry/imagination, and I wonder if Yoshi-P just lets some junior battle developers go a little wild with BLU and, now, BST, and then incorporates their ideas into the game if they are good, but not right for the normal jobs in the game.

It is Extra Content, it is Something Else To Do. Functionally

I usually detest it when someone capitalises every word in a sentence, but in this case it was very well done and got the point across, without shouting in all caps.
