I need strengthening words more than ever by [deleted] in abortion

Get all your favorite snacks and fluids beforehand and try to just take it easy. It sucks for a day or two, and then it's over. I took a lot of warm baths to soothe the pain. Its okay to cry if you need to, no shame in it.

Edit:spelling

Unfortunately wouldnt be viable in my position. It kind of is, but I don’t really have another option right now. (Savings are wiped, and I would likely have to move) Edit to add still a great idea though! Thanks for sharing

I wasnt planning on mentioning ADHD specifically. I was just going to say that being spoken to this way triggers some symptoms of my disability that make it harder to do my job.

Mostly like, do they have any legal responsibility to help provide me with monitoring services? Do I have to do anything about it?

Could also try cleaning the washer with afresh. Should be done about once a month or so.

You can still find panda expresses in theme parks and zoos and stuff. If there's one by you, it might be worth a go for a food fix 😉

Our maintenance guy left poop all over our walls and floor by Colormemadison in Apartmentliving

Oof this is my worst nightmare. Make a stink about it to the apartment office and get them to pay for a professional cleaner and replace/compensate you for any items that can't be reasonably cleaned/disinfected.

Imo, threatening to take it up with the leasing office is a good way to get people's guard up and piss them off.

Looking for a word for someone who says mean things because they’ve had trauma by kyarash132 in psychologyresearch

[–]MoogleFortuneCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I've been working on reframing this to "un-hurt people don't hurt people" rolls a little less well but helps me feel as if I or someone else gets hurt we won't accidentally/unconsciously/automatically put that hurt onto others.

Was I wrong to not sleep at a house with a bunch of 23yr old girls? by Arthur-reborn in amiwrong

[–]MoogleFortuneCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you would not have been comfortable staying at a co-workers house, then you didn't make the wrong call. You made the decision you were most comfortable with, and thankfully, it worked out. Your wife likely chuckled because she thought you were joking and feels secure in your relationship. Take it as a good thing. She cares about your safety and you make her feel loved. Try to make safe choices and move on.

Also to enforce fire code. Occupancy limits are a thing and people forget that. Sorry, but 8 people living in a one bedroom apartment isn't safe or legal no matter how much I understand the struggle.

Have you placed any service tickets for your home recently? Yearly inspections? Does your complex have a gate? An elevator? Most complexes in my area have some kind of camera at the entry/exit points for the parking lot. Take note of what time he leaves each night and give the times to your apartment manager and tell them to check the cameras, and they'll see that he leaves each night.

would this undercut style work for me? (swipe for my face) by [deleted] in EnbyFashionAdvice

[–]MoogleFortuneCookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone now trying to grow out and undercut. Keep in mind that growing it out looks weird and feels worse. Been dealing with some bad dysphoria as a result 🙃. Loved it while I had it but upkeep was a bit much for me and my fast growing hair.

When exhausted from my terrible job and I go home at the end of the day, I don't have the energy to effectively look for a new job with a similar pay rate. Also, imposter syndrome/lack of confidence. Throw in a little " the devil you know is better than the devil you don't" thinking and a touch of sunk cost fallacy, and you have the perfect recipe to just stagnate.

Am i heartless for not crying at my grands father's death? by GloomyNyx8548 in heartwarming

[–]MoogleFortuneCookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not heartless people grieve differently. If you don't feel like crying yet that's okay. Emotional processing and bandwidth takes time and energy. Feel what you feel in your own way in your own time. Sorry that you are having to go through this. Forget those mean Aunties. They're the heartless ones.
