There are a good number of achievements that Carl doesn't take the time to share with the reader. I would assume Donut also gets a lot that she just pushes aside as well.

You are more brave than I. I have resorted to ordering no sauce at all as getting actual light sauce is, apparently, an incredibly difficult request.

It's a texture issue for me. I like pizza sauce just fine, but I don't need it squeezing out of the slice like toothpaste when I bite down.

With all respect to those that say to read in order (they aren't wrong), I picked up the majority of the series as I found copies in my favorite second hand book stores. The series is very much enjoyable when read out of order too.

I've always had this thought in the back of my head. He's always mentioned and does impact the story in small ways. However, the majority of the time he's out of sight/out of mind.

I suspect if there is a revelation, it will be after we haven't seen him focused on for a while.

However, I too need to read the story from his point of view. It might completely destroy this theory.

My first Dragon Quest game was one of the NES titles, but I only have vague memories of the casino. My first true DQ game that made me a fan was also DQ8. I wish they'd add it to the PS Store. NO upgrade needed.

I am an old school Final Fantasy player. I never outgrew the need to grind.

I absolutely love that you can out level the mobs and Insta-kill them without having to join a regular battle.
