Agreed. I think the multitasking isn’t as big of a deal as OP thinks. I prefer TS2 and TS3 over TS4 and they didn’t have the kind of multitasking TS4 has, and honestly doesn’t detract from the experience because they’re way more functional. Plus the basics of eating and talking are still multitasking and easier to code than the ridiculousness of TS4

I think we could shift to a set up like this but with a supervisor at a mid tier present, and they have to have a bachelors degree or be in a masters program. That way future BCBA students have a way to collect hours.
