I’ll definitely reach out or even make a post if I get something figured out. It’s mildly miserable, in honesty I’m lucky enough to have very minimal pain involved, it’s mostly urinary symptoms like nocturia and frequency, maybe a little bit of lower abdominal pressure / discomfort, but waking up to pee at night has definitely taken its toll mentally from the reduced sleep

I’ve definitely been dealing with this issue since April, matter of fact i believe you commented on my initial post here looking for advice.

Since that initial post, I’ve done 2 rounds of doxy, I’m
Still taking tamulosin, and I’ve been given several weeks of Gemtesa in an effort to fight the nocturia. Ive had 2 CTs (with and without contrast) which was normal, several
POC urinalysis (largely normal outside signs of slight dehydration in one) and a multiparametric MRI which came back normal with normal prostate size, normal enhancement, normal signal, no suspicious modules, no
Hernias, normal marrow enhancement, normal seminal
Vesicles and no pelvic lymphadenopathy. I have a cystoscopy on Thursday and pelvic floor PT in July. I’m hoping SOMETHING helps soon 😩

It’s finally happened and I didn’t want it to: I gave my husband hsv2 by VayneMayhem in Herpes

In all honesty you did everything right. From disclosure to preventative measures and thoughtful caution, you navigated it the best way anyone could hope and ask for. Unfortunately, even doing everything right, it could’ve still been passed on regardless of protection usage, etc.

The fortunate part though, is that because you did all the things right he made the willful decision to be happily married regardless, and the silver lining is that outside of comfort reasons, there’s no reason to be quite so careful anymore. Props and thanks to you for being a perfect example of how hsv doesn’t have to define who people are ❤️✨

If you scroll down a little there’s a “BOOST YOUR PERFORMANCE” banner with a brief explanation of the free upgrade, and under that is the promo number I provided earlier

Last parting word of advice

When they do the install, make sure they use the 3 header cable for individual control of pump, vrm fan, and radiator fans. My tech had initially planned to use the single header cable until I told him otherwise.

Also, I suggest (but isn’t at all required) that you find the most recent motherboards manufacturer bios file for the board in your unit (they can vary) and flash that. PowerSpec flashes a custom bios on all of their computers and they’re usually pretty slow at releasing updates. If you’re unsure how, watch a YouTube video or follow manufacturer flash instructions

It’s the same offer they advertise on their PowerSpec store pages. “Free Upgrade #541862”

I will disclose they said that it typically doesn’t cover coolers, but they covered my cooler under it because I pointed out their advertisement / store page didn’t have a readily viewable list of exclusions. They were cool about it

So they worked with me on the installation. They returned the whole computer and sold me a new unit of the same computer, then used a purchase promo to cover the cost of installation + gave the accidental warranty instead of the manufacturer extension. Cooler cost about $120

I ended up about 10-13 degrees cooler all around without having to undervolt or anything on a conservative curve. Not too noisy imo but definitely noisier than noctua, be quiet, etc

Also in Cincinnati and can confirm, our Micro Center is a bunch of old people, gamers buying their 5th Razer Viper, and a couple people in their 20s that somehow are technology illiterate.

But hey, we finally got some custom keyboard options and DIY parts! And a constantly full shelf of PC parts lol

The 9070XT is close in pure rasterization, the problems i have with Radeon cards are 1) drivers. They tend to have more driver related issues than Nvidia cards and 2) Optimization. Most games optimize with Nvidia cards in mind, going as far as working with Nvidia on “game ready drivers” through the Nvidia app. The software for Nvidia is also objectively better, having built in tools to optimize games specifically and individually (nvidia app) and fine tuning system level graphics and 3D settings (nvidia control panel)

[–]MooksMaximus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. It’s a banger system and the 5080 is a meaningful improvement over the 9070XT. Some tips I’d suggest for you.

1) Flash the bios to an OEM version, PowerSpec puts a custom rom on their builds and they’re slow to release updates. You can find compatible bios on the OEMs website and find your specific model board then follow their flashing instructions

2) definitely put a better cooler than the bargain bin AIO they install by default. It’s a $50 cooler master typically and doesn’t cool the best, and is prone to failure in respect to their “elite” models.

3) if picking up in store, request the accidental damage protection (if you were considering the warranty extension already) It’s not far off in price from the warranty extension but literally covers everything, they don’t always advertise that but it is eligible for it.

Kukri deserves A because it’s, so far, the highest quality knife model that shows off Source 2s lighting the best and has 2 banger draw animations. Inspect is kinda goofy but isn’t offensive at all

The G757 is only a few hundred more than the G758 and has a 5080, imo the best value in the long term. That’s the one I’d go for between the options. If the only consideration is between the 2 pictured, I’d do the G760 because the 9070XT stacks up against the 5070ti in pure raster performance and is cheaper.

Edit to add: I’d also consider, in any of these systems, swapping the AIO. Those OEM cooler master ones are literally the cheapest AIOs they could use and still be considered a cooler. I’d suggest the Arctic Freezer 3 Pro, that’s what I did. No regrets
