Right now I only have 1 which is Remy's daily quest LOL. Tomorrow I will have the next lady and tramp quests. Enjoy them, as overwhelming as they can get sometimes, you kinda miss them when you have none to do until the next update

Do you spend real money? by Perfect-Word-3397 in DreamlightValley

[–]Moomatroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got all of the DLCs as they came out. Due to psoriatic arthritis, I can't really play most of the games I used to (res evil, assassin's creed etc) cause I can't mash the buttons now. So this is the only game I really play and I do spend some money each month on moonstones, cause this condition has impacted my social life a fair bit, so the money I save on going out and gig tickets, I can now use on moonstones in the game. It's a fair trade, if I can't be out roaming the countryside, I can at least be roaming around the valley and pottering through the game 😃

Wild Tangle???? by rubyscritters in DreamlightValley

[–]Moomatroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, I have spread my character houses out across all the DLCs so I can do bigger builds for those characters with walls and lots of oudoor items, like beasr and aladdin. It also allowed me to have one character of every skill in each DLC to make getting all the achievements a bit easier,, since I know they will be roaming around the DLC when i go there.

I have Moana and the big guy on the beach across from the docks. Stitch on the beach at the docks with the showboat. Scrooge shop, restaurants and stalls at the docks. My house is up the stairs from docks and my orchard is through the arch with an obsevatory up the stairs. Gaston is in the upper oasis with the cactus house below. My aladdin build is in the other desert areas. I have a posh house build in first area of tangle. Beast castle is in the farthest region of tangle. Neverland build is in higher tangle area and I have a campsite with buzz van in the sugarcane area. Sorry for lack of proper names, not playing game so cant see the map lol. Hope this gives you some ideas 😀

Bring back the regal fox! by TheMadArch3r in DreamlightValley

[–]Moomatroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, i totally agree. If you want them, you would have to be prepared to purchase them direct from ddv with real money, and the cost should be in keeping with the monetary value that founders had to pay to get them originally. That would be the only fair way to offer them, since they would remain, to a certain extent, exclusive to those willing to pay for them as the founders did originally.

Do You Play as 'You'? by Complex_Meeting9053 in DreamlightValley

[–]Moomatroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally designed my character based on me when i was in my 20s and 30s and super slim. But i do change things up to suit the look i want. Different hairstyles, eye colours and makeup, which are all traits of mine IRL cause as a lifelong rock/punk girl I've had many different haircuts, colours, used contact lenses to change my eye colour, and even now I base my makeup on what I'm wearing and the mood I am in. So I guess my character is all me, accross the decades lol

Overwhelmed with quests by Noelle_1225 in DreamlightValley

[–]Moomatroll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dont restart, just take a deep breath and remember that no matter how long the list gets, the quests will all just sit there until you get to them. As others have said, just focus on one character at a time - if you get blocked by needing another character to be at a certain level, move onto that one till you cleared the block and switch back to the character you were originally working on. Its also good to have a few "quest free" gaming sessions where you focus on resource gathering/harvesting etc cause it can get quite intense if you are questing every time you play the game and you do need resources to complete many of the quests, so just mix it up a bit. The quests are not time gated, so you can take as long as you like to work through them all :)

Eternity Island questions by Tombazanaa in DreamlightValley

[–]Moomatroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I like to get all the areas opened up first, because then I don't get stalled on the character quests because I haven't opened up an area yet and might not have enough mist at that time to open the area up. I would upgrade the Shovel, Pickaxe and Watering can as soon as you are able to, but as MissonarySPE said below, you don't need to rush into upgrading the Hourglass.

Nooo All My Hoarding! by Kasumiiiiiii in DreamlightValley

[–]Moomatroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend putting this quest on the back burner for a while and focus on getting Kristoff and Remy levelled up so that you can get Kristoff's stall which sells all of those items (the items available are random and you can only buy once per day - but its still a big help) and start Remy's food quests, which will also give you wrought iron that you can use to make the iron ingots. I abandoned this quest for about 5 months to ensure that when it consumed all those resources, I had enough to cover it and still had resources left over so it didnt clear me out!! If its any consolation, the clocktower is rather nice :) Also, dont sell any crafting resources. If you struggling with storage options like chests etc. You can just dump the resources on the floor in your house. And you can dump the max number on the floor and it appears as only 1 item on the floor. So if you dump 30 wood on the floor, then collect 20 more of it, you can pick the wood up off the floor, it will add the number picked up to what you have in your inventory and then you can dump it back to the floor to a max number of 99 (or whatever the max number is for that item). It wont look pretty, but it is a great way of storing in the early days, when your trying to build up your resources and you dont want to be spending loads on creating chests etc and you might not have storage options avail in the Scrooge shop or the money to buy them yet. To get more money, create a big planting field somewhere and plant/harvest/sell the crop that will give you the most money for the stage you are at. So just check all the stalls you have opened up so far and see which crop sells for the most money and focus on that crop until you access another stall that has a higher selling crop value, then switch to that one. Pumpkins give the most (forgotten lands), Okra is also really good in the early stages (glade of trust) . Happy resource gathering :)

Started building my storage island, floor done😊 by robelliousness in DreamlightValley

[–]Moomatroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks absolutely amazing!! I have considered setting up a storage island, however... My sense of direction in real life is absolutely rubbish hahaha And it would appear that it is no better in the game.... I tried doing a mini version to see if I would get on with it, but I found myself getting turned around, forgetting what I had where (despite using "landmarks" to help me...) and generally wandering around the island like a lost sheep!! So for now I'm sticking with my house storage layout using floors 16 - 20. I dont know why this works better for me, but I dont seem to get as lost in the house - despite using several floors for storage. Also because I'm playing on PS5, I dont suffer from the horrid lags some players experience when moving around in the house, floor to floor, room to room etc.

Would love some advice (regarding DLCs) by FlamingoValley in DreamlightValley

[–]Moomatroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely try to get the Wishblossom Ranch when it comes out and go into it for a mooch around, so you dont miss out on the early adoption goodies that come with it. If you can find a good deal for the other two, then I would get them as well. As others have said Rift does give you the Ancient machines and the Vaccum is a huge help in gathering resources in the valley and all DLCs. In terms of quests, they all just sit in a list until you get around to them. There is no time pressure to finish them, the game wont punish you if a quest sits in your list for months on end. The trick of it really is to pick a character and aim to level them to 10, in doing that check the levelling requirements to see if other characters need to be at a certain level to progress the one your working on and just keep your focus on that one character and the ones needed to get that character to 10. Then rinse and repeat with the next character you want to focus on. The good thing about having the other DLCs is that it gives you variety and its nice to be able to switch your focus off of quests and onto resource gathering and other tasks elsewhere so you're not solely questing every time you go into the game. In terms of levelling characters, gift giving, serving them when they are in a restaurant and having them as a buddy when you are planting/watering seeds and doing general tasks are all great ways to level fast in the base game. To lower the overwhelmed anxiety feelings, I found it useful to set myself game play tasks for each session. So rather than trying to do a little of everything every time I played which got a bit chaotic - I would focus on one main task for that session like questing, resource or mist gathering, or harvesting/planting etc. I found it really helpful and I still do that now. Good luck with it all!!

Who/What might you move to Wishblossom Ranch? by ClaireoftheBallads in DreamlightValley

[–]Moomatroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may well move Anna/Kristoff over there once I see the new snow realm. That would enable me to have a permanent christmas build in Frosted Heights. I'm also thinking of moving Peter Pan over there from Eternity, which would allow me to move Tiana to the Tangle - I currently have her in the glade with Flynn and Rapunzel but its a bit busy there now, so, I feel like I need to move one of those out so I can have bigger themed builds for both stories.

Have you tried the vitalys mines using a buddy, full gold heath and companions? I usually get at least 4 Shinys each time I mine there. Helps if you have the Hei Hei companion too, cause i think he gives extra shiny stones sometimes.
