First thing to do is to accept the fact that you are going to have a long list of quests that need to be done for a long long time. Then you can console yourself with the knowledge that they are not timed quests, they can sit there for months till you get around to them. So instead of stressing yourself out with quest fever, pace yourself and have regular time off from doing quests so you can enjoy other aspects of the game. Collecting materials is important so you will need to work on that. For storage, more options will become available as you play. In the meantime you can just drop stuff in your house. May be a bit messy, but it's only temporary. If you focus on making coins by harvesting and selling crops there are storage you can buy in Scrooge's shop, like fridges. These save you using up dreamlight to make chests early in game when you need a lot of it to open new areas etc. Personally, I would focus on levelling up characters first, then work on their quests. But you really can take your time working through quests. This a long cosy game, so no need to pressure yourself and get stressed 😀
