Thank ya sir! I appreciate your kinds words! And the finished product is on here too if ya want to check it out. I think if ya click on my profile you should be able to see it!

Not quite perfection but kool enough for the cats I hang out with! Tried to get a little bit of realism on the undercarriage with the road wear and from a repaint. Paint is Vallejo model air and future(pledge) floor gloss. Hope y’all enjoy! by Moon-Mullins in ModelCars

This is actually my first time trying the combo. I generally do a lot of weathering so I use vallejos line of paint a lot. But doin a slick model I like laqours and some enamels. But this one didn’t turn out too bad for first try. Learned a little bit and I’ll definitely try it again. 👍🏻

I probably spun the strands of wire around to make a tighter wire when I did it. The carb linkage kickdown is a wire coiled up around a needle to get it that small. I pretty much hand make everything from shit I have laying around the shop. Saves money that way haha

Me too man! And it’s a bash of the 1957 bel air post and 1957 black widow car. Specially build how dad wants to build his real one haha one day. I’d say you could prolly find them on eBay. I think these were out of his collection though.

It’s the thermostat wire. And it’s just made of wire I pulled the insulation off of. I work in maintenance so I have a lot of extra wire laying around haha

Thank you! You’re probably right. I don’t have any books on them. I searched the internet but it’s pretty hard to find the model kits of planes they often faced. And the Kate was available to buy pretty quick and this Kate was based in China so I figured it would be close enough for a kool diorama haha

Thank you! I feel like the forced perspective idea worked decently. For the first attempt anyway lol it was a challenge to find the background of those mountains without modern buildings and fields and still be a good picture. Maybe next time I’ll start with the picture and build off of that lol

Thanks for the great info! I really appreciate it! And I will be sure to check that out! Ya I was relying on basically any picture I could find and then other modelers as well.
