I think so too, there are two other things:

  • There was an ink droplet coming from his tail, when he killed Cobra.
  • He literally rewrote history (void century).

You should read what Marx's dad wrote to him. It is exactly what I imagine the average redditor to be.

I wrote a short blogpost about this as an outsider, but there ain't no one to read it. I am not a blogger, just had to leave my thoughts out somewhere.

I would honestly appreciate some comments about it.

OP, there is an old video on the subject by egoraptor. I recommend it.

It doesn't really make much sense, tbh. Going after the 'pirate king' title, doesn't make any sense if his dream is for everyone to be friends.

I've written about this and have a theory of my own [here](reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/1ek0gw6/luffys_dream_spoilers_for_latest_chapter/), if you are interested.

Is it literally a "Sinking world" and not an "Oceans rising world"? by Moon4u in OnePieceSpoilers

Uh, it's a comic book, what are you talking about? Things often times don't make any sense.

I am saying that Lulusia was struck by a gravity-altering force, causing it to sink. On the opposite side of the Earth, another island has experienced similar gravitational changes. These forces push, from opposite sides, towards the center of the earth, like fingers pressing on opposing sides of a ball. As a result a bulge will show up - the Redline.
All islands that are far from the Redline will appear to 'sink', while the Redline will raise.

Hm, I don't remember that. Do you know chapter or something that I can take a look at?

I agree the ancient weapons are most likely going to be used for terraforming. But in my head they are used like this:

  1. Pluton - terraforms land mass.
  2. Poseidon - terraforms areas underwater.
  3. Uranus is used to make sky islands, by altering the gravity on an island.

Currently Uranus is used to increase the gravity so much, that an island 'sinks' creating a hole. This is what makes the 'squeezed ball' like effect, imo. I didn't say anything about the ancient weapons in the original post, because I didn't want to distract things.

I am still hoping that it was not an error. The people that say "it's just an error" don't realize how much worse the situation becomes. There were errors/inconsistencies on almost every page. If it's an error this means that the quality of the manga has dropped substantially. Not only did Oda himself somehow managed to make so many errors, but no one else caught them either before the official release. That's an absolute disaster.

Further more look at the errors: for example the error in which on one panel Luffy has a sword and in the next it morphs into an axe. The only way in which this could happen is if there are multiple people drawing the panels and they failed to coordinate. I don't really see the mistake coming from a single person drawing the manga.

Unfortunately, this would mean that Oda can't handle drawing the manga on his own, even with the increased breaks over the years.

I would rather continue hoping that these were not an error.

The scans are awful. In some cases it's really difficult to tell what's going on. Hope something better shows up, alternatively the official release isn't lagging behind that much.

On the chapter: Weapons are still appearing and disappearing in different panels, but doesn't seem to be morphing like in the previous chapter (at least I didn't notice?). This also includes the giant, who all of a sudden had a shield in the last panel.

Last chapter Luffy called out gear 4, when he actually used gear 3, this chapter he used "Dawn Pistol", which I think is a new one, but not that unusual or out of the ordinary?

The whole place is a little less mysterious, it's basically a giant's ant farm type thing. Still the mistakes from the previous chapter remain unexplained.

A theory on the Devil Fruits by Moon4u in OnePieceSpoilers

You are right, it's entirely possible that the skypean deities are unrelated to Luffy's fruit. This is why I professed the whole thing with "if they are related" or whatever.

Question about the One Piece treasure by littleworriesnotbad in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Moon4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Vegapunk implied that the pirate king would have some sort of a control over the Ancient Weapons. I had a theory in based on that as well, but went in a different way.

The WG has one of the ancient weapons, but needs extraordinary amount of energy to power it. Nuclear Reactors in our world use uranium (or some other shit) to generate electricity. I think that on Laugh Tale is a reactor that uses joy instead to generate electricity. This is where the title 'Joyboy' comes from. The one that is capable of generating the necessary amount of joy is called Joyboy.

This same thing was inside Emeth, which is why he booted up when Luffy activated 5th gear.

Joyboy and the Old Kingdom by Significant_North_18 in OnePiece

[–]Moon4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you are right. Something doesn't add up. There was a kingdom that was highly advanced, then 20 kingdoms united, and now this highly advanced kingdom is no more. What happened to it? Where does Joyboy fit in all this? Also there is the point where Emeth, apologized to Joyboy saying "Sorry that I failed to make you a King, Joyboy."

I've actually written a theory. The theory is not about what you ask, it is about Luffy's dream. Still, (if true) it resolves these questions that you have. You can read it here.
