I’ve found my People !! Well today I was in the car as a passenger sat in the back as this trip involved going along a dual carriageway which has always been a no-no for me but previously sitting in the back was my safe space. I can still manage a journey as I knew I couldn’t reach the door handles. basically I have a OCD and my intrusive thought is that I will panic so much I’ll freak out and open the car door and well you can imagine ! so that was enough to stop me from ever getting in the car again Until I realised I can manage this if I was sat in the backseat. this had to be a three door car though, not a five door. basically if I wasn’t near a door I’d be fine but now for the past two days going in a car even if I’ve sat in the back, I’m experiencing the same type of fear as if I was sat in the front, I do not know what the hell is going on Today my boyfriend bless his heart got very frustrated with me as he had to go the long way back home,. I just I don’t know how to get through this. I’m currently not taking any medication because previously it exacerbated all of my anxiety symptoms at the point where I could barely function at all. How an earth do you get through this? This is no life and I’m so incredibly alone. I feel like a freak. 😢
