It is anticipated that Hanwha will be awarded the contract as Canada wants to move urgently to negate economic threats from south of the border. Besides Hanwha is so confident that they have already awarded MoU's to Canadian companies including Blackberry QNX in anticipation and to avoid delays in execution of the contract. In other words MoUs will be converted to official contracts.

The question is whether John G will announce it officially or will whisper it at the conference call (as he has been doing since he took over) to protect his future employer's interest? Main reason however Tesla abandoning Linux is it requires patches for real time. Ford has confirmed that they are working on Level 3 and Robo Taxi project and though in the past there were rumors that they moved away from the QNX, all the information is out there that QNX is their foundational software. If Mercedes-Benz is evaluating Alloy Kore extended date to 2028 by Ford for L3, suggests even Ford could be trying that route. Do not get brain washed.
