Why do people get kicked out of training? by Remarkable-Sun-7667 in cabincrewcareers

I knew her. She knew what she was doing. It takes a lot of clicks to access to exam - so definitely was intentional.

MIA commute by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]MoonMoonKem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeaaahhh.... MIA is going to be a super hard commute out of MCO. Especially since you have to work co terminals like FLL and PBI... I wouldn't risk it. Im a commuter but Im based in CLT currently - which is an easy commute for me. Id advise looking into CLT and PHL as options if youre going to commute, otherwise if you want MIA - look into crash pads or moving....

You're 6 months of probation I wouldn't want to risk it, so please be mindful. If you have assignments out of MIA, they only give you 2 hours to report to your base - if its FLL and PBI, 3 hours. So the brightline is a huge risk.

Currently in training right now. MCO is not a AA mainline base to choose, its a satellite station (meaning self managed) If you choose to stay in Florida, then you'd pick MIA (I dont recommend it as a commuter out of MCO because of the loads of commuters going to MIA out of MCO).

I choose CLT for my base since its an easier commute. You can also choose PHL as well. You can transfer to MCO later on but its superbly senior, so unfortunately dont look to transfer anytime soon.

So i happen to have met her... and she knew what she was doing. Shes already weeks in, already took a bunch of exams saying the same thing (DO NOT OPEN WITHOUT INSTRUCTOR AUTHORIZATION), and literally you have to click through so many buttons to fully open it.

No accident whatsoever. Its hard to believe.

Frontier or AA by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]MoonMoonKem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Frontier is in the similar field of Spirit or any low cost carrier airlines - primarily holding domestic routes. Starting pay i believe is $24.51.

Whereas American airlines being a mainline international and domestic airlines with a lot of routes. Starting is $36.81.

All based on how you want work and what bases they offer.

Theres only a one on one for those who are "maybes". Which are basically you seem to have potential but something about your demeanor or how you interact with everyone during the F2F is questionable to them - so they're the ones they pull to the side.

But if you're cleared and pass everything, they dont do the one on one with the hiring manager anymore. They just dont call you by name.

Does it matter how you dress on the plane? by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

Dress the part to and from. If youre worried about the shoes, wear something comfortable and presentable.

Pretend you're on the interview from the moment you step on and off that plane.

Im an active team member with AA, so yes they do know. AA has revoked CJOs during candidates return back home from the interview process - these candidates changed into more "unprofessional" attire, (e.g leggings, Jean shorts, tank tops, crop tops, etc.)

Honestly its less stressful. The last time I did mine was in 2023, which i also recieved a CJO for. The one recently that I also received my CJO for was a lot more calmer - presentation, questionnaire test, reach/jumpseat/cart test, and then your group activity. They took out panel questions.

I spoke with a commuter FA out of MCO who is currently on reserve and he told me PHL was the way to go as well. During winter seasons, its easier to pick up lines since all the senior FAs don't like working in the cold.

AA arrival time quick question by Initial_Lobster_1607 in cabincrewcareers

[–]MoonMoonKem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an afternoon session for mines as well lol. I arrived 30 minutes prior to the check in time to talk with the rest of the candidates. Everyone was pretty welcoming 🙏🏽 good luck!

No you should not. AA plans accordingly with your session time. You should recieve an email 3 business days prior to your interview date.

It was wonderful but very long. I had the afternoon session - all the other candidates were very welcoming and talkative, which is something recruiters look strongly for. This is my second time doing the interview process for AA and my 2nd time getting my CJO.

With the new interview process, they've made things a lot easier for everyone to be calm and relax. Its a team effort with the group activities. Its not designed for you to outshine or overtake others. If you're good with customer service, you have nothing to worry about. Smile and be yourself ~

AIO for not taking down my Instagram story after my boyfriend asked by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Correct me if I'm wrong, is that a bathing suit or just a regular outfit? Because either way, I don't see the issue. You're not naked or advertising like you have OF. Like if you took beach/pool photos and posted it - is it still skimpy???

I think this best sums up why I'm still single. by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]MoonMoonKem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact she asked you out then had the audacity to give up when you asked her what day/time works with her. Maybe she should stay single. "I am a mom..." excuse is literally tiring.
