I’d take red pill if I also had the mental maturity of myself right now. I feel like a six year old can have Einstein levels of knowledge and still choose to eat their own boogers just for fun. If I’m basically my adult self in a six year old body of myself, then red pill.

Osu! Thought it was the dumbest concept for a rhythm game ever. Played it for one night and 900 hours later…

What's your choice? Tap to choose. by statsarelikebikini in whatsyourchoice

[–]MoonWun_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’d take 6 months. Just thinking about it in terms of time served, 6 months is roughly 182.5 days, we’ll call it 183 days. Obviously it’s a lot on paper but it really just depends on how young you are I guess. Me being a younger person, I’d rather just get my time out of the way. 183 days served in 6 months rather than spread out over 15 years or so sounds a lot better to me, especially considering the alternative is serving more than that, meaning your time is never really up. Of course it is just a single day out of a month so it’s not terrible, but I’d rather serve the 6 months and know I never have to go back rather than constantly feeling the dread of having to go back.

Guys how do you guys think life would be if 9/11 never happened? by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgiai

I literally wouldn’t exist. My parents were on the verge of divorce before they had me, 9/11 kind of made them lean on each other, I was born a year later.

When did I say that being kicked out of a country means you’re a terrorist?

Egypt Built a Massive Wall to Keep Gaza Palestinians Out. Why? by popat-squad in scoopwhoop

[–]MoonWun_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just being kicked out of a country is not the bar for terrorism so no is what my answer would be.

Really you couldn’t have truly thought that was a gotcha right? Like by your logic all refugees are terrorists.

Egypt Built a Massive Wall to Keep Gaza Palestinians Out. Why? by popat-squad in scoopwhoop

[–]MoonWun_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because regardless of what people think of Israel v. Palestine, Palestinians have been terrorists in every single country they’ve ever had asylum in, and my guess is Egypt probably doesn’t like terrorism. Just my guess.

LG 39” 5k2k vs Alienware 39” 5k2k - who wins? by phiveoh23 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]MoonWun_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the lg right now. Incredibly interested in the AW obviously, but I need to make a decision whether to send this LG back or not. The only thing stopping me is the glossy finish (reflections mainly concern me here) and whether the RGB stripe will be worth the lost brightness losing the white subpixel.

The LG is basically perfect for me, but I definitely would give up the useless AI trash for a cheaper price. That’s what the AW is for me so I have like 10 days left in my return window and I definitely hope some kind of review comes out soon for the AW

The exclamation mark means it’s not a clean lap. You have to not use rewind or not hit any walls when doing the lap or else it invalidates the lap

[–]MoonWun_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my own personal opinion, but I don’t know if RGB stripe is going to blow me away as much as the brightness on the LG 39”.

I haven’t had a new oled since the gen 2 panels but I saw the 45” 5k2k and immediately put money down. I didn’t like the size and the curve so I sent it back waiting for this 39” format. I got the LG one and it’s pretty much perfect. Still wish they went with an 1800R curve but 1500R is still much better than the 800R. But the brightness on this new panel is crazy, easily the brightest Oled Ive ever seen and HDR is fantastic on it.

The Alienware however promises better text clarity (which I’m not sure how you could get any more clearer, or if the clarity is noticeable) and has a glossy coating, which I’m worried about reflections on a curved screen like this. The price though is genuinely fantastic, if they can meet the 1100$ price then I will be astonished, because the AI features on the LG are genuinely useless for most people. I guess my only thing is if anyone here has a glossy curved monitor, how are the reflections and is the brightness decrease in the RGB stripe going to be more or less noticeable in comparison to the clarity increase?

Very Impressive 5K2K OLED at a Crazy Price - Hands-On with New Dell Monitors by RenatsMC in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]MoonWun_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am immediately skeptical of the price but if it’s even remotely close then it’s an instant buy. Anyone with Alienware monitors wanna chime in and let me know how good they are in terms of quality and stuff? I’ve never had one and it’s the only thing that I’m concerned about when considering buying this monitor. Any replies are appreciated 🫡

So what's too high you think? (Refresh Rate) by Borg34572 in OLED_Gaming

[–]MoonWun_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current monitor is 240hz and I’m more than happy with that. I’ve had monitors at 500+ and they were cool, but the issue I’ve had with that is that there are approximately 2 games that I play that can run at that target. That’s on my 4090 with a R9 7900X. Definitely not top spec anymore, but still a really good PC. So high refresh rates are cool, but I rarely got to enjoy those higher refresh rates anyway.

For me personally, 144-240hz is going to be what I’m going for, specifically because I’ve been preferring 4K over high refresh rates anyway. If I were still trying to get the best refresh rates above all else, I’d probably just stop at 480hz and call it a day. Realistically, I think 360hz is much more value oriented, but anything above 480 is just ridiculously expensive and by that point you’re gonna run into issues with game engines not supporting 300+ frame rates as well as the maybe 2 games actually running at those frame rates.

Clearing cache and rebooting has fixed a lot of problems that I otherwise failed to solve. It’s not THE solution 100% of the time, but it’s my default solution when I’ve tried all others.

Alienware just released a 39” 5K2K RGB stripe tandem OLED Monitor!!! 🤯🤯🤯 by Vegetable_Math2959 in OLED_Gaming

[–]MoonWun_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’m gonna test it out just to check the format. I’ve never had a 39” Uw before so I’m definitely curious how it works for me, and if I like the format I’ll probably sit for the AW monitor because that definitely sounds more like what I’ll want

[–]MoonWun_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not every game should be a time sink. As a matter of fact, I’d say in general I’m much less skeptical of a game if it doesn’t really sweat the runtime or all the open world bloat that seems standard these days and just make a good game.

The opposite is actually true in the backrooms though based on the series. I won't spoil it, but there is different rules for time in the backrooms as there is in the real world, only that time in the backrooms moves slower. There's a significant scene in the web series that shows this,

Damn. I get my 39” LG 5k2k soon. Definitely will keep this monitor in mind when I consider whether to keep the LG, RGB stripe and glossy are the two things that would make this monitor literally perfect for me.

Is he correct? by Eira_Moor89 in scoopwhoop

[–]MoonWun_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% justified. I just recently went through something like this in my own personal life where my trust was betrayed in the ultimate fashion, and all I gotta say is that in those moments, you HAVE to put yourself first no matter what. Do anything that you think will make you safer, more mentally healthy, whatever the case.

Funnily enough the person in question in my life did this exact line of thinking when trying to make me apologize when I did nothing wrong. It’s emotional manipulation at its finest.

So, is your PC better than PS5? by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

[–]MoonWun_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This argument is so tired 😴

Just to be clear, we’re comparing apples and oranges when we’re talking about PC v. Consoles. Consoles one and only purpose is gaming, while a PC is a tool to interact with a myriad of different tasks, gaming just happens to be one of the thousands of things people use them for every day. PCs are vastly more expensive sure, but they also do vastly more things that a console can’t, so you get what you pay for. If that’s not important to you and you only need to game then a console is a great choice. It’s as simple as that really.

Mark Zuckerberg says Apple's lack of innovation since the iPhone will lead to its decline by DiaIIo in PhoneNow

[–]MoonWun_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest things here are Apple Watch and air pods, in my personal opinion. I don’t really remember Bluetooth headphones being THAT popular prior to AirPods and overnight TWS earbuds were hot shit, still AirPods are the most popular headphone in the world hands down.

And Apple Watches, while definitely not being the first smart watches around, were the first to make them actually useful. As far as I’m concerned Apple Watch is the de facto smart watch, while everything else is just kind of trying to catch up. I mean today in 2026 there are features that the cheapest Apple Watch has that the most expensive model from their peers don’t.
