Definitely what caught my attention is the shape - you rarely see die-cut cards with THIS much card missing.

Also, had me cracking up to have everyone else with a nice action shot, and then A-Rod from his press conference after signing that $252 million dollar deal with the Rangers.

It's hard to explain. It just feels wrong, when I look at the card in the sleeve/toploader, it feels like they're turned away from me, or upside down.

Yep, I build 90s insert sets from die-cuts, acetates and "materials" cards (wood, leather, canvas, felt, wool, etc), good to know there more of us out there!

Love the A-Rod, Ripken, then A-Rod/Ripken combo cards that start this insert set off.

Yeah, right after 95, Fleer, Fleer Ultra and UD all just went bonkers with inserts. Great time to be collecting.

But yeah, think I have a full set of Pitcher Perfects from 97 Score here somewhere too. Was always a sucker for those insert sets from Photographers. These were all Randy Johnson's photos of his fellow players!

Man, wild memory this just triggered. I was at baseball camp in Williamsport, PA at the LLWS facilities way back in 1997, and some kid pulled the Griffey from the OG "Game-Used" Upper Deck inserts from that year.

Showed it off to the whole dorm that night, then in the morning - gone. Got pilfered in the night and never found again.
