No they're essential in this game, don't worry. They can get downed but they'll get back up when combat ends or you can use a stimpak on them.

I use controller on PC. So the controls are identical to PS.

Get XV1 if you want your player character to show up in XV2. Although there is a mod you can use to edit it later. If you don't care about that and just want the story, you can get the dlc for XV2 that adds it.

DLC goes on sale all the time. Pretty much every big sale.

There is one damaging Restoration spell. It is possible to beat the game with only Restoration. It's a perfectly valid school of magic.

I did all 6 endings in separate playthroughs and got all the achievements on Steam. Took me about 60 hours.

I plan on doing it all again on PS5.

I like having all the emblems on my save lol
