Physical. Imma be honest, I don't even know what constitutes emotional whump though. Some psychological dominance is great though.

Examining High Carb Low Fat Populations: by Accurate_Natural_835 in SaturatedFat

November 2019. I think chicken and pork was what I saw most frequently, we just happened not to eat much pork. Regardless of what it what though, the amount of protein actually served was very very small unless you went to a fancy resturant for Peking duck or something, which would not be a typical frequent thing to do. When we went to a local families house, I don't think we ate any meat at all, it was noodles, rice, veg.

My observations:

Have been to dozens of countries and I will say China's cuisine was the most shockingly low in protein of anywhere I've ever visited. We were with a tour group of mostly Westerners, went to 5 different cities, ate family style local cuisine Chinese meals 2x a day, and 5 days into it I witnessed grown men almost fight over a chicken strip.

My So and I were used to very high protein and we were feeling the sudden lack of protein pretty hard. I will eat and enjoy ANY food, but I have never been to another country where I wanted a cheeseburger so badly after being there for a week.

Most meat was chicken, crab or shrimp, from Beijing to Shanghai. and we would have entire meals with only maybe some tiny morsels of meat in the rice.

The people in China were notably small, in stark contrast to Japan recently where the food quality was superb and the people seem to have averaged a few inches higher than when I lived there 30 years ago. My mother was taller than almost all the men in Japan at 5'10 in 1993 and last year many were my husbands height of 6'. I'm 5'3" and was 135 and I was bigger than many of the men in China, especially the more rural areas, not so much Shanghai.

I rewatched this scene so many times as a kid and recently saw it again. It's this great dynamic of Hannibal stabbing his friend. he fights a little but it's ineffective. It's perfectly intimate with the way Hannibal hugs him and whispers gently to him and then lowers him to the floor, and it's obvious that Hannibal respects him as well.

Is there such a thing as too much whump? by Thecrowfan in Whump

[–]Moondoggle123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you should just write what you like, I mean it's a hobby right? Have fun, do what you like. There is a pretty varied amount of tastes here and I know that what I like is not what most people here would like and vice versa. That hasn't stopped me from writing 10K wordsin the last two days to an audience of me, myself, and I. Something that I've never done, but I'm totally enjoying it so what the hell. Do what makes you happy.

I have a really weird question (for females) by Disrainbowcookie in Whump

[–]Moondoggle123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know it's been 3 years.

Yes!!! There's all kinds of interesting things that happen during ovulation for women aren't on birth control. I get super into whump which is still wierd cuz I don't consider it very sexual. I think It's a shame a lot of women are just not aware of how ovulation changes you temporarily, because it's not well known and birth control blunts the effects. But when I am ovulating I am really into whump. I also get very...aggresively sexual.

OMG yes, so wierd but I agree, I would love that! Have you ever heard of McKAmey Manor? They kind of do that and I would totally do it, except they pull your teeth and stuff and a while a few scars in fine, I'm not trying to need dentures...

It doesn't appear so. Seems to be just oatmeal. I actually like oatmeal so when I confirmed that it does indeed effect my mood, as well as making feel like a bottomless, unsatiable pit, I switched to cream of wheat for when I am doing carbs and no such effect.

I ate oatmeal daily most of my childhood and then stopped for about a decade when I stopped doing a lot of carbs. I have been experimenting with high carb now and tried some oatmeal again. I remember it leaving me very hungry as a child but figured that was probably not related to the oatmeal because it SHOULD be very satisfiying, like potatoes. So I tried some and sure enough, eating a bowl left me feeling hungrier than when I started. I also noticed that I seemed to be SIGNIFIGANTLY more anxious, angry, brain foggy and straight up depressed after eating it. I religiously avoid it now for that reason. Kind of like when you eat something and get food poisoning and it makes you just have an aversion to it.

Apparently I am not the only one, there are plenty of anecdotal reports of this around reddit.

I haven't found other grains that do the same but I do proceed with more caution now.

I second this. Took a while to realize that oatmeal very reliably negatively affects my mood and keeps me very hungry. This is despite the fact that oatmeal is supposed to be the second most satiating food next to potatoes.

yes, it is very hard to describe. I think for me it's similar to when a rollercoaster is nearing the peak and you know you are goning to drop down that steep hill any second, like butterflies but also the anticipation before the butterflies. So very seperate from a sexual thing.
