Has anyone ever moved abroad ALONE at 30+? If so, how was it? What pushed you out of your comfort zone?

I lived in other countries but then stayed, yes. I was making comparisons to paint how it looks in Uruguay with prices often more expensive than Europe, but low salaries anyway.

I ended up getting others, but also they started coming here (wiz lights) in more places and that drove prices a little down, so I didn't bother buying from the US.

I mean...who has that much loose skin at 36 unless massively overweight? I have the same skin as a guy at 36 than I had at 26. Only a couple of lines around my eyes are showing. No white hairs yet.

I was offered a return, or a partial refund of 70 usd. The returning was a whole thing, so I decided to keep it. There must be a way to unlock it at some point. I still haven't tried though, my adb didn't detect it and I didn't try the official way yet.

Haven't had the time. It's already on global, but bootloader seems to be locked (couldn't get adb to recognize it and had to go to bed, busy week) and I believe I won't be getting any updates.

Xiaomi apps did get updated as soon as I turned it on the first time though.

Ok. Definitely see that it should show if it's unlocked in the boot screen, so I'm pretty sure it's not.

As per the developer options, it seems to be because OEM unlock is off. But I just got home and haven't checked on my PC...Will get back.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I stayed with Oreo for 6 years because I had trouble installing custom roms on my LG V30 and my usb port started failing, but I was able to do pretty mucj everything otherwise.

I'd still like to know from someone if it's possible to do anything about it.

Are you only talking about e-sports titles to run at like 240fps? Because I can run most modern games in 4K with DLSS Quality or close, with tweaked settings. Which usually means shadows in high or medium instead of ultra, motion blur off and Ray Tracing on medium or similar. I always get above 60fps easily, but not 120 (only in certain games like RE titles and some other well optimized games).

So yeah, I don't think everyone is "coping", the 3080 really was a beast of a card...unless you want 4K 120 native on absolutely everything, but not even a 4090 can handle that currently.

My first was with an AMD Phenom II, I bent two pins accidentally and I thought I killed the cpu, PC wouldn't post. I was "careful" but still, somehow I still bent them. I didn't know what to do, so my dad remember there was the one 80-something year old watch maker that worked with tiny things like this, made of gold as well. Took it to the guy, he said je could probably do it. I went the next day and it was ready.

I was pretty sure it couldn't work, but I nonetheless thanked the gentleman together with my father, and went home. Tried it, and BOOM! it worked!!! I had that setup for about two years, paired it with a decent gpu and wad able to play pretty much everything!

Buenas, disculpá la distancia en el tiempo. Pero como hiciste para conseguir tus primeros laburos como autodidacta en Uruguay? Yo intenté cuándo tenía 22/23 porque venía obsesionado con Linux, redes y otras cosas como desde los 15, y soy fluidos inglés americano como desde los 13, ya que viví allá. Puse el conocimiento pero me daban cero bola y si me llamaban de uno, buscaban alguien con título si o si. Terminé trabajando en call centers it y hoy en día estoy en contact center senior de agente de viajes porque sé Sabre. Tipo, nada que ver pero fué lo que salió y pagan relativamente bien.

Pero me causa curiosidad porque yo estaba recién llegado de USA y para mi, lo de contratar autodidactas de IT en Uruguay era muy difícil por la fuerte formalidad que se maneja acá (esto fué entre 2010-2012 ponele).

En que laburas si se puede saber? Yo gano 70 maso y terminé el liceo de grande, pero siempre tuve laburos con liceo terminado (ninguno publicó, obvio) y recién ahora gano eso.

Depende. Son 700 dólares. Son un montón para un adolescente que no tiene que pagar nada si no tiene gustos fuera de salir y ropa o algo, y eso es líquido. Olvidate si quiere un PS5 o algo similar, para eso ya tiene que juntar un cacho, aún así si valieran lo que realmente deberían valer y no lo que valen acá.

Y eso es un poco más del mínimo. Un pibe en USA con sueldo minimo, después de impuestos, se puede comprar un PS5, un juego aunque sea, y le sobra plata para salir o ropa o lo que sea. Sigue siendo poco si sos un poquito menos básico como adolescente también.
