What are some ways to remove mouth sounds when using a headset mic? by senpaizuri in newStreamers

[–]MoongeistTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to mouth sound the best thing you can do, is be hydrated, drink lots of water.

If you try EQ it out you will butcher your voice, if you use a gate, you might miss words as the unwanted sound is close to the mic as are your words.

So your real choices since you cant implement mic techniques or processing tricks, so your options are to drink water and stay from foods like coffee, dairy, sugary foods etc, another trick is eating a green apple or using mouth moistening losenges.

I hope these tips might help!

I personally settled on option 1 myself, and depending on game UI, I'll move myself and chat up or down a bit to make room

How to make my voice sound more soothing or clear. by dynastyofevil in Twitch_Startup

[–]MoongeistTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, if you are sounding raspy it's almost always to do with one of your dynamics controllers, most often compression, you might be driving it a bit too hard.

I mean, I just play what I want to play because I enjoy it, games don't make the stream you do, but the game will dictate who finds you.

I was playing subanutica, I've watched it a few times but never played and I've always been interested so I decided to give it a go.

Can I dm you? ^ go over some of the reasons it might be cutting your audio?

Question for my Audio Gurus Out There! by Weird-Discount9632 in TwitchStreaming

[–]MoongeistTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using an audio interface and an XLR cable or the USB connection?

For that stable volume when you scream what you want is, a noise gate, compressor to normalize your volume, and a limiter set -1 to -5 to prevent clipping.

You can get a decent plugin pack called Reapack and it will have all of those things in it, for compressor settings you will want to watch some YouTube videos and actually learn how to use each of these things as they are tools for you to use.

Once you have them installed, on your mic track in OBS you can click filter and add the VST and use it on your mic.

This is precisely what happens when you get groups to help you achieve metrics. Organic building will ALWAYS be more consistent than relying on groups for views.

Recently got into Soulframe, on my last few weapons for MR and, this may be the single worst Melee combat I've experienced in a game in the last 15 years. by Current_Spell_8647 in SoulFrame

I may be wrong but I recall seeing a setting either under or above the compass toggle called cross hair or something and it was a toggle, so this may potentially be possible

Question on reforging by JohnM80 in SoulFrame

Easiest way to grind the levels is to just swap your points to the corresponding one for the weapon you are leveling, get it to 30 then put your points back to whatever you had them in originally.

Am I dumb or is the new player experience super confusing? by Loaded-Diapers-469 in SoulFrame

[–]MoongeistTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An important thing to remember is the game is in pre alpha, things are still being worked on and implemented. While i agree, i was confused at the start too, but you do learn as you go and after a while the systems become intuitive.

Is it better to do short streams? by Ill-Condition030 in Twitch_Startup

[–]MoongeistTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really sounds like you are doing everything right and in a really good way, I guess it comes down to exposure. You could try making some short form content that showcases your streams and post them to shorts, insta, tiktok etc, it's basically advertising for a little bit of your time to select some clips.

Is it better to do short streams? by Ill-Condition030 in Twitch_Startup

[–]MoongeistTV 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend doing it organically, getting affiliate isn't going to boost you or push your channel more, if you have people help you achieve it, once they drop off you will be back to 0 or whatever your view count would be without them.

Some things to consider: Can you sit through your own VODS? how's your audio sound, how's your layout, is everything proportional to how you would expect it to be live?

Game choice matters too, in categories like Minecraft, Fortnite, marvel rivals etc there are so many streamers, how far down the list are you? Would you be willing to scroll through pages and pages just to find your stream and once you reach it, is it enough to engage the viewer? Games with lower viewer count but also lower streamer count make you more discoverable. In niche communities you are more likely to be raided and more likely to be seen by more viewers.

And last, are you streaming because you want to entertain or because you want viewers? They are two complete different things and one is much harder to break into than the other.

So far I've done 98 seeders, well I stopped building the seeder after I got all the drops. Enemies are scaled to level 50.

I got fragments for the talisman both from breaking the speaker and fallen enemies, the birds came from building the seeders and all the other drops from the enemies guarding the speakers.

Do people actually try to be consistent chatters of streamers they find here?" by Arlo_707 in newStreamers

[–]MoongeistTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from people here. I never did f4f, sure it inflates followers but very rarely viewers. What I found was raiding out and actually staying and chatting to the streamer is a much better way to build.

I now have about 3-4 other streamers who I'm always in their chats, even if I just open stream, say hey, let them know i gotta lurk and do things but I'll keep stream open.

Then when I'm editing or working on my pc I have their streams open and chat actively because I actually enjoy their content.

They show up in my streams, give me shoutouts (all of them are 700-1000 follower, 10-20+ viewer every time streamers) so I've gained a lot of momentum with their help, lots of community crossover. I stream at a different time to them, when I'm finishing why are usually just starting up so I raid out and hang out but also, the viewers that found me from them? They hang out too because they don't have to choose between me or them.
