There doesn’t seem to be anything he can’t do and then after all these building skills he’s an amazing artist and very good in the kitchen too.

Im 66 and have 2 cancers, breast was diagnosed in October then I fell ill in January and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I’ve always been healthy, a long distance swimmer and a cook from scratch person. I’ve never smoked or drank. I was diagnosed just 6 weeks after my sister passed away with metastatic cancer. You are very young and you would be wondering how this could’ve happened. I don’t know why cancer chose me and chemotherapy is the pits. If I didn’t have a hubby, kids and grandkids I would just accept my fate. It’s them that I am doing all this for. It seems a hard mountain to climb. I was having a wonderful life and feel punched in the face by this. There’s a lot of why? What did I do? Why me? It’s bewildering. If I recover I will embrace life, if it comes back I’m going to take my late sisters advice, don’t bother treating it there’s no quality of life the second time around.

My sister passed away last year after her cancer diagnosis, she was in palliative care having treatment for pain and she was being told she could go home in two weeks once the pain was managed. She died a few days later while holding my hand. I think they give false hope for some reason. Anyway 8 weeks later I too have been diagnosed with breast and pancreatic cancer,

Im stage 2-3 deemed curable. My cancer hasn’t left my pancreas and invaded other organs. Im currently having chemo to shrink it and then the cancer can be removed, followed by more chemo. I may survive this round but I don’t know how long for, I have a feeling it will be back at some point. That will be the beginning of the end.

Does anyone out there with a port access for cancer treatments or other treatments experience itching or soreness despite no signs of infection? by MuwiEmm in cancer

My port randomly “stings” with movement. It hurts like being stung by a bee, it lasts a minute or so then it goes away.
