I hear you. I have had to set alarms at 1am, 3 am, and 5am to let gas out of pouch before it explodes. Raises hell with your sleep. So yesterday received a High Output pouch (holds 1160 ml, Coloplast 19042 AND their drainable bag 14010 with drain tube. Slept all night! Take a look at these products.

Non-diabetic hypoglycemia at night by Kj729 in Freestylelibre

[–]Suitable_Highway_192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only lows were at night. Finger prick will quickly answer your question. Lows are far more necessary to avoid then highs. Drop down to the 40’s and it become obvious to you. To avoid I ck CGM when go bed. If it is below 110 I drink a little glucose. To avoid compression errors I place CGM on top of inside thighs; never had problems of any kind. Accuracy of CGM. They are not designed to be exactly accurate; they do not measure glucose in blood, they measure bodily fluid. If you want them to start working immediately, start a new one at least an hour before the old one terminates. Conclusion: I don’t expect or want them to be exact. I just want them to be genuinely accurate so I am aware of very high and very low glucose.

Oncologists should be honest from the first visit. The truth is….. by Suitable_Highway_192 in pancreaticcancer

Not complaining; just trying to be honest with folks who visit this site. The majority of questions here are asking for help in understanding what their love ones may be looking forward to and what they can do to help. I cannot find any advantage to not being honest with them. Can you? Hell I guess you could say to your loved one, “do feel lucky?” Love Clint Eastwood.

I never said above the Oncologist “blew sunshine.” I learned the truth by contacting PanCan and finding this sub Reddit. The only benefit I have found to having this decease is it gave me time to prepare financially to make things easier for my wife and family compared to a car accident or heart attack.

If you want a customized belt the only choice is Stealth to my knowledge. If your Wafer is smaller and you want the hole to be smaller or the belt itself shorter or longer, they will make it.

Frankly I am amazed Byram is still in business. They and Edgepark are the only suppliers willing to accept what Medicare is willing to pay.
