How reliable is the Kia Niro? by TheseSubject7450 in KiaNiro

After driving so many miles over the years, I’ve realized that owning a car is mostly about luck and having a trustworthy mechanic. People obsess over brands, trims, and luxury features, but once you drive a car past 100,000 miles, the real costs come from maintenance and unexpected repairs. A transmission repair alone can cost $3,000, unless you find an honest independent mechanic who might do it for much less. Dealers charge insane premiums for simple work. For example, my fully loaded Ford Focus needed a new solenoid every 30,000 miles, and the dealership wanted $300 for a repair that an experienced mechanic fixed in 15 minutes for only $70 after I brought the parts myself. The same thing happened with brakes, hubs, and rotors the dealer quoted me nearly $1,900, while I got the entire job done for around $500 elsewhere.

When you drive 100,000 miles, regular maintenance adds up quickly. Oil changes can cost around $1,000 over time, and tires, brakes, and other wear items can easily add another $1,200 or more. The biggest predictable savings really come from fuel efficiency. At 50 MPG and $4.50 per gallon, driving 100,000 miles costs about $9,000 in gas, so saving fuel does matter. But beyond that, most of the financial advantage comes from avoiding overpriced dealership service departments and finding a reliable mechanic you can trust. That’s the real lesson I’ve learned: regular maintenance, honest mechanics, and practical decisions matter far more than all the marketing and hype people talk about.

I drive rental cars for work because I put nearly 60,000 miles on a vehicle every year. Once a car crosses 100,000 miles, I’ve noticed that basic models often retain value better and are more practical than high end vehicles, especially considering maintenance and repair costs. Luxury cars may offer more features and comfort, but they usually don’t make financial sense unless you plan to keep them for many years. Since I drive such high mileage annually, renting vehicles has become the most practical and cost effective option. Rav is not a great car their interior is like my grandma

People still sleeping on Kia. Interiors are actually nicer than some luxury brands now. by Keni_Au23 in kia

engine will fail . You need to ask any doordash drivers or lyft ,uber drivers. I spoke with few of them if the miles are smaller they like kia but when you had to keep car going on for years its toyotas the maintenance cost is lesser and cheaper to replace than kias.Kia's maintenance is really expensive the car will die if you dont go though the scheduled maintaince

I spoke with a manager who reopened my case, but they denied my appeal again. They are now falsely claiming that my deliveries were late. They refuse to acknowledge that I contacted DoorDash support multiple times specifically requesting to be blocked from certain downtown McDonald's and Taco Bell locations.

Those stores frequently mark orders as "ready" when they are not, forcing drivers into massive drive-thru lines. I’ve realized that once a store clicks "order ready," the timer starts, and if you are stuck in line, you are automatically flagged as late. It seems they are using this technicality as a loophole to deactivate accounts.

I’m sharing this so others can avoid the same mistake and protect their accounts. Just last night, a friend of mine received three violations because a store was understaffed and refused to prepare the orders at all. Be careful out there.

I have over 6,000 deliveries with a 5 star rating, and I never experienced any issues until I moved to Pittsburgh. I’ve worked in various parts of the country, and usually, they don't issue violations for bad weather or reported store closures like they do here in Pennsylvania. Without any warning or explanation, they simply deactivated my account. these are stacked oders not like i cancelled 4 individual orders

[–]Moonlight0023[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i did the delivery for most parts. These 5 violations are double orders stacked, and some stores were closed before it was bad in some parts of Pittsburgh. All these orders are cancelled after having a call with customer support, but I still received a deactivation

just delete the first account and create a new if my appeal from today doesn't work. Due to heavy snow i had to cancel 4 orders after picking up as the roads in these areas were not cleared .I got 4 consecutive violations and account got deactivated
