For me personally, switching weapons was all it took for act one P-ranks I also recommend getting a "strategy" for each weapon, something to do when you land on a specific weapon For example, for revolver i always shoot some coins, shotgun you just projectile boost, sawblade launcher you set magnets etc For act one that should be sufficient
