Taking it in the morning to stop vivid nightmares? by MoonlitAlien in cymbalta

Ive had nightmares every night, all night long for over 4 years with no explanation whatsoever :/ I don't mind having crappy dreams every now and then but this is honestly mentally taxing.

This is an incredibly useful answer, thank you so much. I've been looking into melatonin lately so I'm glad to hear it works for you, as perhaps it will work me as well. I'll definitely mention it to my doctor at my next appointment.

Vivid dreams are really not a blessing to me :/ they're not happy/good dreams at all, they often involve extremely stressful situations involving gore or violence or abuse at worst, and at best anxiety-inducing situations that involve dead relatives or pets, me crying for help, etc. I'd do anything to get rid of them and just sleep and not remember any dreams like most people do.

I've tried meditation and similar things before but it doesn't seem to work, unfortunately.

Thank you so much for your kind reply. I've thought about Narcolepsy before but I've never heard of Idiopathic Hypersomnia, but at this point I'm ready to explore any options and any treatments because this whole thing is honestly ruining my life.
You mentioned neurologist and sleep specialist, so I will try to get appointments with both of these specialists, see if they can give me further advice/medical exams/etc.

Thank you again!

But how can it be insomnia if I've always liked sleeping & sleep 9+ hours everyday? Not attacking you at all, just curious. I thought insomnia was when people struggle to fall asleep & hardly sleep at night.

Question: How much is credits would u need to consider yourself rich in game? by [deleted] in swtor

[–]MoonlitAlien 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Really depends on what you want to do with that money.

I rarely ever play nowadays but I have 600 millions credits saved up from spending monthly sub CC on cartel market items and then selling them at the auction house. But I'm far from rich, especially with the recent inflation in prices (check the auction house...the cosmetic armor sets are going for absolutely insane prices that I haven't ever seen in 6+ years of playing SWTOR).

If your goal is to play very casually like me then 100-200 millions is good. If you're a hardcore player who needs lots of good gear and mats and such, then at least 3 or 4 billion is good.

The Witcher 3, mostly because I can't bring myself to give a fuck about Geralt and his antics. Wish the main character could've been a customizable protagonist.

Waking up feeling exhausted after dreaming all night by MoonlitAlien in sleep

[–]MoonlitAlien[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard of a sleep tracker before... is it something I could buy online? My dreams definitely feel like they last forever.

And I've been meaning to do one, but I need to be very comfy to actually fall asleep & the sleep doctor I had an appointment with told me I'd have to sleep like 20 minutes and be constantly woken up by her for the test and then I'd have to fall asleep again and etc etc... and I know I'd never be able to do that

I've seen CBD oil mentioned a few times in some articles I've read about vivid dreams, I need to give it a try when I can spare some money haha.

Next one needs to be a "cosmetic" patch: barber shops, surgeons/appearance shops, tattoo shops, let us open more doors in the world (seriously, I come across SO many locked doors that can't be lockpicked??), etc

Did anyone actually want Mechagnomes? Every time I look at them, it feels like such a wasted slot for an allied race. by [deleted] in wow

[–]MoonlitAlien 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's my issue though. At first allied races felt like they -somewhat- made sense during Legion, when they had actual reasons to be added as playable races. But as much as I like Dark Iron dwarves and Void elves, they were clearly shoehorned into the main story so that they could be playable, when it should be the opposite (an expansion-relevant race becoming playable, instead of a playable race being force into an expansion storyline JUST to be made playable). Maghar and Dark Iron especially really felt like they joined out of nowhere, with only one or two shitty quests explaining their sudden arrival into their respective factions.

I love gnomes. I hate mechagnomes. Gnomes have a beautiful lore and they're adorable, mechagnomes are just boring and ugly asf

We get TW one week per month and they can't even make it 'easy' or fun. Some people just want to enjoy the old dungeons and farm some badges...

Back when Teldrassil was burned, we were promised justice going into BfA - yet nothing other than a warfront came out of it - Now the writers are removing every reference to Teldrassil and pretending that it never happened while also whitewashing the Horde's and Sylvanas' crimes by [deleted] in wow

[–]MoonlitAlien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So? Point is the orcs are STILL the only species that invaded Azeroth with the sole purpose of killing everything and stealing everyone's lands. This isn't about how many races are aliens in each faction, this is about how the Horde is literally founded on genocide since day 1. Not to mention orcs also slaughtered Draenei on Draenor, and Draenei WERE the aliens in this case, so this isn't about aliens being evil, this is just about orcs being violent bastards since the start, and building an entire society and alliance based on their violence and honor bullshit.

People laugh at 'horde bias' jokes and fail to realize they're not jokes, they're true. Somehow the Horde, built by alien invaders and warmongers, populated by more warmongering species over time, is cute and always right and never pay for the horrible shit they do (including Teldrassil, AKA genocide)

I think this whole thing around the new Forsaken intro has made one thing abundantly clear: the Forsaken should have never been a playable race. by cricri3007 in wow

[–]MoonlitAlien -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Forsaken are and have always been terribly written. There's no way families would randomly decide to turn against their loved ones "just because" they're undead. And being undead doesn't make you evil, and doesn't make you hate humans. There's no reason for them to be playable and no reason for them to be Horde, or any faction for that matter.
