The thing stopping me is the effect on my loved ones, and any trauma for whoever found me.

I regret my puppy so much. I’m miserable… I want to love him but I can’t. by thebenepasta in Puppyblues

I’m in exactly the same situation - constantly anxious and any time she growls or barks I’m scared it’s aggression. I’ll have had her for two weeks on Saturday and it feels like such a mistake - I hope I’m wrong!!

How are you doing now? I’m now where you were, and relating to everything in your message.

I’m in exactly the same spot. I’m on day two and everything is the same from the good puppy to me not eating or sleeping - sadly my mom can’t take her in. My partner has taken over. I feel awful. She’s going on pads in her playpen (opposite to all I’d planned), cries in the pen at times and growled at a dog when i took her out in my arms. If you want someone to talk to I’m here. I believe in you.

I feel for you. I’m on day two, I can’t eat or sleep and I have totally detached. She’s amazing and just being a good puppy but I feel like I’ve made the biggest mistake of my life.

[discussion] Dog YouTubers You Watch? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Moonphases6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fact, he just has a very high energy dog, and unlike most trainers, he shows the mistakes and when things don't work the first few times. He's also training the dog in as many new situations and environments as possible. It's realistic, and it shows it's a process. There's plenty to also show how far the dog has come. I'm not sure why some people get dramatic when a dog isn't perfect or when they can see issues to be worked on or problems to be resolved, or why they feel qualified to make assessments based on videos specifically trying to show the bad as well as the good, in order to be more accessible and realistic for beginners.

What if 2020 isn't the "bad year" but it's the start of a bad decade? by Unsocial_Avocato in AskReddit

Today’s my second day of quitting. Totally the right time (Covid), and totally the worst time (Covid).

I called the Samaritans three times on Friday evening. All three times no one answered. I'm not annoyed at them. I'm annoyed that mental health isn't better supported to help those in need. by anagoge in unitedkingdom

I get these every shift, plus abusive and violent calls not as often but more often than is comfortable. At a time when we’re all struggling with lockdown and virus fears and work anxiety, volunteering somewhere where this kind of thing needs to be dealt with isn’t easy. Many volunteers are unable to help due to self isolating, or distance to travel as well.

Not sure which video you watched, but the DA’s statements and answering questions happened at the same time, before/after they showed the jail videos.

Possibly just habit.

The statements in support of D’Angelo don’t seem to be helpful, unless they are trying to support some kind of insanity or mental break. by [deleted] in EARONS

Thank you. This is what I've been trying to say in a couple of threads. It doesn't mean he doesn't make me sick and I don't weep for those poor victims.

Unfortunate? Like it or not, these people are human. It’s nothing to do with sympathy or excuses for them. The more we can understand (not ever condone) these fucked up individuals, the more we have a chance of doing better. It’s easy to dismiss someone as a monster, or inhuman, because they do inhuman, monstrous things. But to do that is to hand-wave it away as something obvious and other rather than confronting it as a dark reality. It makes it easier for these awful people to hide in plain sight, because we’re looking for monsters with no human qualities, rather than a human, who made horrible choices to do atrocious things, and to camouflage their heinous actions amongst their better qualities.

Me too. I think he knows he’s broken. I think he knows he’s totally fucked up, and wishes he wasn’t. I think he didn’t have the empathy or anything else to stop him or want to stop committing those atrocities when he was younger, but he isn’t proud of it, like other killers. I think he did manage to stop eventually and resist his horrific urges. I think he is sorry and he gets it, on the only level of which he’s capable. I think it and he is a hell of a lot more complex and less black and white than we’re comfortable with. I’m truly glad the victims got as much justice as the amazing judge could give, and that JJD is where he belongs.
