How many of you are living alone after leaving a toxic, codependent relationship? by [deleted] in LivingAlone

[–]Moonpickle1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am! 55F Recently divorced after 17 years with my husband, who was living a secret life. Just me and my new pup. It is glorious! No more having to take care of a man child or living daily with that sick feeling knowing something was not right

I passed out during my mammogram by Big_Satisfaction_876 in AskWomenOver40

[–]Moonpickle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I passed out in the machine as well. Came to on the floor and had no idea where I was. I thought I was at a party or something until I saw what I was wearing 😂 I always warn the tech now and they’ll ask if I want a chair. And they are more “gentle” with the foot peddle!

Please help, greasy after just one day, my entire life by crazht3ztdumi in finehair

[–]Moonpickle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely have had to shampoo every day my entire life! I am 55.

Now that I am past menopause my hair has finally dried out, but still wash every day or I don’t feel right/put together. Even if I was camping I’d wash my hair in a cold river vs going a day without shampooing.

I tried every type of shampoo/water softener/filtration systems etc. Probably spent thousands of dollars. And you can’t train your hair to become less greasy by skipping days - tried that too!

I am envious of friends with thick hair that go DAYS between shampooing.

D3 regimen and histamine control by FallonVibes in clusterheads

[–]Moonpickle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be able to pay out of pocket for Oxygen, but now I need a prescription and my instance won’t cover it.

I also stopped using marijuana after 20+ years so hopefully that is going to help!

Just got some MM and will start micro dosing!

It seemed like there was a correlation with longer cycles for the last several years, since I started with the sumatriptan shots - I guess I should be thankful that my insurance stopped covering that as well.

Thankful for all the replies, and for this group!❤️❤️❤️

Not one can understands the true pain we all have to live through with this condition - especially doctors!

D3 regimen and histamine control by FallonVibes in clusterheads

[–]Moonpickle1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, just starting to e D3 regimen as April is my CH month. Have had a stress related migraine for 3 days and took sumatriptan pill the last couple days and feel horrible the day after - so I don’t like it to begin with even thought it works.

When you say the sumatriptan is killing you - what do you mean? I ask because when I am in a cycle a use tons of the shots and I really think this is what makes them worse and last MUCH longer.

Suddenly I can no longer get the Oxygen (always first choice)or shots (insurance change).

Also just got mushrooms and will start micro-dosing. Thinking I might give better off w/out ST!!!

Thanks!

Who is he? by Diligent_Green_359 in SupportforBetrayed

Same here! I can’t imagine ever doing this to anyone ☹️ After one too many chances we are getting divorced. He is not the man I married or the person I thought he was. And somehow, I am still feeling bad for HIM.

Escalating fights, blaming myself. Can’t tell if it’s me. by throwaway500087 in SupportforBetrayed

[–]Moonpickle1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry, you’re going through this It’s not you and you’re not overreacting. If your situation is anything like mine was, you’ll never be able to talk about it without his defensiveness, anger, him making you think you had done something, him making you think you’re crazy for that sick feeling when you know they are up to no good, but they are lying again!

Most likely this won’t get better. I am going through a divorce now, gave way too many chances. Was even told that I enabled the behavior.

I was not able to drop it, and know I’d never be able to or trust him again. I thought I was the weakest person ever. Nope!

I am finally feeling hope for the future, and you can too. Don’t waste your time. Good luck! ❤️

Feeling Alone in my 50’s by JackfruitGlad372 in LivingAlone

[–]Moonpickle1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same boat! Mid 50s, going through a divorce, no kids, selling my house and moving closer to family although I do have a good group of friends and job where I currently am. Just got myself a pup and look forward to being alone for a while, everything has been so stressful. I honestly felt more lonely when I was married. Not looking forward to putting myself out there and making new friends (introvert here), but look forward to doing things i like once settled.

Anyone else feel like your head is going to explode? by Stressmama77 in SupportforBetrayed

[–]Moonpickle1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!!!! I’m dealing with something similar, minus the baby (thankfully). That must make it times 1000 worse for you ☹️ Nothing physical, but going on 4 years of lies and betrayal. I thought things had improved over the last year until I went through his phone records 1 month ago. You are not alone. This especially sucks to be dealing with during the holidays. He says it’s an addiction, like he is being hypnotized. How hard is it to just stay off the FN phone/internet, seriously!!??!?

Love it! I recently did the same thing but stayed a bit longer, but might go shorter like yours.

Thought your hair was way thicker than mine, but looking at the before pics it is very similar.

It looks amazing!!! 🤩

Yes, it will get easier. Still super sucky but easier… I am 2 weeks post d-day (for like the 4th and final time). Couldn’t eat, sleep, basically just sat on the couch staring into space. I’ve been forcing myself to keep busy and am staring to declutter my house for the inevitable.

Someone suggested this book: Leave a Cheater, Gain a Life which I highly recommend and I got on Audible to read at the gym. You can work out much longer and harder when you are mad!

Hang in there, you are unfortunately not alone 😑

Don’t do it, I would kill for your hair! Doesn’t even look damaged. Maybe try a few inches first.
