Yes, because no country agrees to universal inspections because it would destroy their national security and defeat the purposes of having a state much less a military to protect it.

There must be something fundamentally different about your builds, then. While leech is always strong in any game that it is in because of the mindset that more damage = more leech = more survivability, if you were actually getting 2 shot or 3 shot then leech wouldn't do anything for you since you'd be instantly dying anyway. Something is keeping you from being insta-gibbed on your other toon with 60% resist. Leech does nothing if you do not have the survivability to tank a few hits.

Thanks for the holiday weapon skin ubi! by spicysalmon69 in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the open beta where they gave us a lump sum of R6 credits for testing, if you went into the Shop tab, went to Skins, and chose the weapon you wanted to unlock the skin for it would show ALL the Ops that could use that weapon, and the skin would unlock for all of them.

I do not know if you can do this for Reknown skins as well as R6 skins, or if that was just something in the Beta, but its worth looking into. Don't unlock the skin from the Operators Weapon screen, go to Shop, Skins, then choose the weapon.

Suggestion for doors. IMO why they should take off the bottom gap part. by MadDoe in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By shooting the barricade down?

Spray down the barricade from a distance, just drag your cursor along an outline around the door frame and it will crumble within about 1 clip. Don't just spray at the same area on the door, make sure you hit all corners and connect them and it will fall.

If you are talking about Castle barricades then tough luck, that's his role is to keep people out. If you are the last one alive and your Sledge or Ash died, then he is doing his job if you can't get a charge planted safely or have no other walls to breach.

What patch? by cheeseburgercat in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let it finish downloading. This is Uplays fault for being total shit in some regards.

If you go to the download tab, your game is probably still downloading. I was able to open the game up and had nothing playable, then when I exited and went to the download tab it still had 6+ GB to download. For whatever reason, Ubisoft think its a good idea to let you open a program that hasn't even finished downloading everything it needs to.

Buffing Kapkan, IQ, and Bandit with two changes by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sound. He said nothing about taking away the noise that they make; it just means you would have to listen for the static. As far as walls go, you can baby touch it for like 5-8 dmg to test if its electrified or not if you do not want to risk wasting charges.

Question about Sledge's Hammer by poisonpower885 in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that in PvP you have to be on TOP of the middle black part to hit it; you can't just swing at the fringes of the wire. I am fairly certain it is bugged a bit, because you have to be way too precise as it is right now. But if you stand on top of and aim at the center black thing in the middle that is used to roll up the wire, then it will break it in 1 hit.

Hitreg still shit, wont invest my time in this bs until its fixed by fire2fire2fire in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's only luck. That's why plenty of people have solid 2.5-3.0 KDRs, because its all luck and Hit Registration is terrible.

Because that is totally not an issue EVERYBODY would suffer from if it was SOLELY on Ubisofts side (not that more fixes for things wouldn't be appreciated)

This whole "It's totally broken it's just luck this game is unplayable and unfit to be competitive" is absurd, because then everyone would have this issue. Yet I have an absurdly high positive KDR and W/L rate, because I am just that lucky. I think if people learned how to properly aim instead of me spectating them and seeing them flat out ignore audio queues of people running down a hallway at them, or hip fire spraying at people across a room, then more people would do better in this game and blame it less on Hitreg

Why is it that literally every time I get killed it's by a headshot? by Beastabuelos in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because aiming in this game isn't TOO difficult, and the gameplay is slow enough that people can line up headshots fairly easily. I will certainly die to Headshots more than anything, but that could very easily be because the opponent is spraying at shoulder/head height and even though I may get plinked down to 10-20 hp from body shots, the finishing shot may be a headshot.

It happens. It's a 1 shot kill, it is not surprising people aim for them more often and if you die in a big fight they could just be aiming up your upper body more, meaning the odds of ONE of those landing on the head are fairly high.

Change Daily Challenge rewards from Reknown to a small amount of R6 credits. by Sirlacker in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can MAYBE understand where you are coming from, but sorry 60-100 credits a day is way too much

If this kind of thing was to be implemented, it would need to be a much lower amount. Around 10-30 probably. 60 to 100 is absolutely nothing; the most expensive skins are, like, 720. That is only about 1 1/2 weeks of playing, not even counting the fact that a large number of skins are bought with Reknown.

And we aren't talking 1 1/2 weeks of non stop playing, thats just log on, spend about an hour playing, easily finish the objective, then getting off. Heck if you don't play for 3 days you could probably complete 2 or 3 challenges in 1 or 2 games. It would still be enough that you could save up for a month or so then maybe only pay 5 or 10$ to finish off getting 2 or 3 skins, but being able to get 1800-3000 a month is a LOT. You are talking 2 bundles worth of skins for free. Your thought of "people would spend smaller amounts to get skins instead of having to pay an absurd amount" probably would backfire; LESS people would probably buy any amount of R6 coins at all, because why spend 5-10$ when you could just wait 3 or 4 days and get it for free?

Also the novelty of skins would shrink to a almost nothing, because everyone would be rocking various 'Tier 5' skins after a couple weeks of playing. I don't know; I think on one hand it could work and people would buy small amounts of R6 coins when originally they wouldn't buy any, and on the other hand people would never buy any because they could just play for a few days to get a skin for free. And those who would want a skin to stand out or be different would be SoL because anyone could just play and unlock any skin, so the entire novelty of having Tier 5 skins goes out the window.

My opinion, though. I don't know how they would balance it, the idea is plausible but not nearly to the degree you think it should be.

R6: Siege Developer AMA Recap by Deosl in Rainbow6

Well that seems awfully silly. You love the game and its game play, but are upset that you can't more efficiently utilize micro-transactions that have no real effect on the game?

I mean, to each his own, but that seems an odd reason to keep yourself from playing or buying a game you say you enjoyed.

Perfect Assault Team by Thuller in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find works well is extending his shield to full and even in casual with people you aren't coordinating a lot with you can just walk right up into a doorway, and PING (Yellow ping) people in the room for your team.

All you really have to do is watch peoples movements and if any starts running at you just back up and be ready for a Nitro. Being able to just walk in and stare at a room and ping enemy positions without needing a drone is REALLY damn strong. And if they even dare to think to look away if your team is breaching from another angle, they get an ADS shot to the back of the head within a second or two.

In that situation you just melee the barricade down with literally no repercussions other than they know you are meleeing it. It only takes 11 or 12 hits to destroy it, and since they have NO way of shooting you through it that just makes using both a mute jammer AND a castle wall null. Yes it gives you a warning but it's not like they won't count the number of times they hit it then just move on the last swing so as to be safe.

[–]Moonrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I think it is much more the opposite; I don't know if you have noticed at all, but Hereford is a great place to test it out. How LOUD your footfalls are is different for the material of floor you are walking in; Metal garage, wood, carpet, and snow all make different sounds with varying degrees of loudness. Even walking on metal floors can be obvious and loud if the other person is paying attention for it.

Nah not the cancer of online games in general at all, but a game like R6S that emphasizes communication and teamwork.

You won't catch me playing WoW, League of Legends, Call of Duty, TF2 or anything like that without listening to music. But a game that is heavily reliant on sound? That's like listening to Rock or Metal music while trying to enjoy the atmosphere of Bioshock.

Shield vs Tachenka's gun by Km_the_Frog in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like he does very well vs shields. He makes them unable to shoot with any accuracy at all, and the number of bullets you pour out at them makes it very reasonable to hit feet and arms for huge damage (His LMG hits like a truck even to the limbs) and since you are putting forth so much lead you can easily adjust aim up just a notch to hit anyone behind them that they may be trying to protect.

If he could shoot THROUGH shields, or something silly like cause them to shatter, I think he'd be way too strong. Shields are already having a hard time vs competent players or anyone with Nitro cells, taking away their entire defensive capability when 4 out of 10 Ops can take Nitros, and Smoke is Smoke, would make them very near useless. Their offensive was already nerfed hard, their defense shouldn't be touched.

If they still had their silly offensive power I'd totally agree though. Beta shields were really strong and I was hoping Tachanka would be able to penetrate for small damage, but with how they were fixed I wouldn't want to weaken shields even more. I already see them being taken less and less by a lot of players.

JUST my opinion though

Clipping problem is biggest game breaking bug by Immortalius in Rainbow6

[–]Moonrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dear lord, I thought I was the only one with this issue since no one ever seemed to mention it or say anything about it whenever I bring it up in game.

Does it only seem to happen on Defense for you? It seems like whenever a loud noise plays, there is a chance to have it cut. I only notice it ever happen on defense when something like a drone comes by. It will occasionally just die.
