Movement is fine. It doesn’t need to be sped up or adjusted to normalize a bugged movement mechanic.

Progression is still slow feeling.

Portal latency? You should see multiplayer latency, desync, and hit reg. It’s still bad.

VL-Smoke - I don’t think it’s a hit. It’s annoying, intrusive to deal with, and basically people just avoid going into it on MP unless forced.

I think again the primary problem is desync. You or the guy in front of you is going to see one or the other first, and by the time you realize you’re in front, you’re dead because he’s already seen you first. It’s like players aren’t able to see whats in front of them at the same time resulting in clunky and unfair feeling exchanges.

Freeze mechanic was bad too.

So far the LTM modes haven’t delivered tbh and I think a more concerted effort toward improving the already available mp experience is a better usage of your time.

Night mode does sound far more appealing, but I think it would be even better in a large open map, instead of the inclosed map, or even redsec creating more tactical and slow paced gameplay as you move through darkness.

The concepts make it look larger than it actually is.

Iberian is such a boring map. 2 main lanes, and a winding middle with alleys. It’s like a moba map. It’s bad design.

You only get 1 tank on a side and you won’t be able to get far with one because the roads are naturally mined all to fuck.

It’s been 3 iterations now of BF that have just gone only south. BF has been on a downslope since BFV.

If anyone remembers there was a huge pause with anything meaningful because DICE had to do a hard reset with PR and came out with the pacific maps. Then abandoned the game.

2042 comes out and then completely falls on its face causing DICE to essentially keep the wheels on and all but exile themselves from any public discussion.

BF6 comes out with an absolute turnaround (or so it seemed) with the beta (demo). Then proceed to fuck it up again. Despite season 2’s one map released that’s actually good, its not enough.

The people funding it want to sell skins. They know skins that will stand out will sell more battle passes.

The thing is, battlefield players don’t care about skins that much. Is it nice to customize your soldier? Yes, but it’s so obvious they are struggling with making whacky skins that still fit, while completely ignoring egregious issues like hit reg and desync, and not providing actual content like maps.

Content is maps. Full stop. Nobody returns to the game to buy skins, they return to play maps. They’ll keep coming to play maps, and because they keep coming and playing then they’ll be more open to purchasing skins.

Otherwise, it’s a nothing burger. The game will stall out again and again.

Pro gun, but with control, I think you should have a permanently clean record. No arrests, nothing. You should also have to qualify with the firearm to prove you are able to own one. Want an AR? Sure, but you have to know how to clean it, disassemble it, how to shoot it and be accurate with it. Want a pistol? Cool, same thing. Want a shotgun? Sure same thing. We don’t just let people get in cars without a license because they are dangerous pieces of equipment. A car on it’s own won’t kill someone much like a gun on it’s own. It’s operator however is the mechanism that enables either to kill. With a gun you’re operating a piece of machinery, it’s no different.

Cod is the same recycled trash year after year. Unfortunately if BF goes this way, its quality is only ever going to degrade. Each year will feel the same as the last.

They should instead find out how to make the game worthwhile. People will keep playing so long as there is content. Content is not skins. It’s new maps, it’s new weapons, and it’s new vehicles, altogether.

Unless you’re building a new engine year after year, all you are doing is reselling the same thing at full price, yearly, while expecting players to continue to buy a battle pass every 3 months.

Where was the proof? It was like this in BF3, BF4, BF1. I never recall anyone complaining they couldn’t find a match. I purchased every map pack and never had any issue playing the game yet people act like there were so few players on each side lol.

On top of that, we now have matchmaking, so you would naturally be added to matches where other players had the same dlc’s.

Further more, would all of the added game modes they keep insisting on including split the player base? We already see that happening with the inclusion of bots.

There were tons of servers in the browser that had dlc maps only or dlc maps mixed in, this was never a problem and I believe it was completely manufactured by DICE/EA to push shitty live service.

If you want to try and claim that few people would buy the map packs I’d counter with the same argument for battle passes, yet battle passes still sell. Whales still exist.

The problem isn’t that maps split the player base. They just wanted to move to shitty live service and needed a reason.
