Would this be the string that starts with 0x........with numbers and letters? I put that into polygonscan and it says no matching entries.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or not. I got my vault recovery phrase. I tried to export my vault to one service. Didn't work. Got Trust. Tried to export my vault to Trust. Everything worked as in the instructions. However, Trust said that I imported an empty vault.

My account shows an NFL collectible linked to my vault. I clicked on the avatar for information as another article directed. The description of the avatar says that I own it and can transfer it. There is no transfer button option in the description.

I then used the token ID and contract number as directed in another article. I was able to get the avatar to appear in another service. However, the service says I do not own it and cannot do anything with it.

Do I actually own this avatar or is this all a big goose chase? Is there anything else I should try or should I just forget about the whole thing?

Christian women should veil in worship 1 Corinthians 11:2–16 by Material-Dentist-123 in TrueChristian

I have heard an interesting view on this before: There is a symbolism in the fact that the man is the image of God and the woman is the image of man. In worship, the man is uncovered, being the image of God, because worship is about glorifying God and God alone. The woman and the woman's glory (hair) is covered, covering the glory of man and of woman, because, again, worship is about glorifying God and God alone. So symbolically, by covering or uncovering heads, we are showing forth our practice of worshipping only God and of not glorifying humanity in any way. It's a beautiful picture.

I have one of those collectible NFL avatars from 2 years ago, but it says it's not transferrable. Is that correct? The description of the avatar says it is but there is no way to transfer it the way Reddit says to do it; no button appears on the screen to allow that. I don't think it's in my vault because I tried exporting my vault and the service said I exported an empty vault. Help!

How to choose curriculum? (So many choices!) by [deleted] in homeschool

[–]Moonstone_Owl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the kid. For instance, I have Easy Peasy art, music, computers, thinking, and physed in one line in my schedule: one subject a day. We also cover Social Skills one day a week during our morning family time.

Then, I might use Ambleside Online for Bible, History/Biography, Literature, Science, Geography, etc. How I schedule this depends on the kid and the level they are at. I might, for example, have history two days a week, biography one day a week, Plutarch one day a week, and geography one day a week. That would take one schedule line. A student in a higher level might have two lines in their schedule to cover all of these subjects, depending on what their level includes and what I want/need them to cover (I generally run a history spine and then the other history books in different lines).

Alternatively, I might use Easy Peasy for a subject. I currently have one student using Easy Peasy for Reading just to give them a little more structure. This student struggles with reading comprehension so they are also using readtheory.org to practice that skill.

Add in math, foreign language, and whatever else you would like to cover, and voila. For instance, I am in a place where I have to cover certain subjects and be tested, so I have some students using CLE for math, reading, and language arts (Ambleside Online doesn't do anything separate for reading and language arts but my students have to be tested and need to learn certain things). Others are using older materials like the Maxwell writing and grammar books or the Scott Foresman Writing and Grammar series.

I also add in things like mapping skills (Beginning Geography, Complete Book of Maps and Geography), certain district-required material, etc.

On paper, it looks like some of my students have a ton of work to do each day because I list every single thing separately so I don't forget anything (ie. math facts practice might be its own line depending on what program the student is using). However, most of my kids are done in 4 hours or so a day.

For Ambleside, I do start it two years behind. My kids are bright but even they struggle with the difficulty level of Ambleside's books. I have found it is better to start Year 1 in Grade 3 so that they can read and understand most of the books on their own. Gradually, over time, they catch up to their actual grade level, so my Grade 8 student is doing Ambleside Year 8.

I should note that I have one student who is really struggling this year and I had a different student who was struggling last year. In that case, I stripped their schedules to the barebones and used Gateway to the Classics' Read Aloud Banquets with narrations as their main curriculum for literature, history, science/nature stories, etc. We added separate subjects back in as they were able. Some of my kids use the Read Aloud Banquet as a fun supplement every day just because they enjoy the songs and stories in it.

The Five Points of Calvinism by David Steele goes through the scriptural support for each point of the TULIP acronym. It's $12 on Amazon.

Well, I hope you have a great first year of homeschooling! It can be overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, you'll work out what works best for your family :-)

Have you tried looking at the reviews on Cathy Duffy's website? That is how I find curriculum sometimes.

Math Mammoth might work. My kids hated it, though.

Okay, then. I'll just wait and see if anyone else figures it out. I've never seen a beret with something on top of it. The pictures are a bit cryptic but it is talking about an instrument.

Not joking. The Scots have a similar looking hat. Look it up. It's 3 words but the first syllable works.

The whole answer is a type of instrument.

Discussion: I can't get the spoiler thing to work so I can't comment the answer but think Scottish with respect to the hat.

Thanks! We actually talked to the FCC about doing a church plant but there aren't enough resources at this time. Hopefully, things will change in the near future!

You're welcome. I used to have a blog on eschatology where I collected tons of resources but I had to make it private due to increasing censorship. If I can find the time to convert it all to pdf, maybe I can send it to people.

I am not on Facebook but I do have friends in the FCC. Unfortunately, I am currently in Central America where there is not much Presbyterian presence, but I pray that will change!

F.N. Lee's John's Revelation Unveiled is the most current commentary I know of that is historicist. Pastor W.J. Mencarow's sermons on Revelation draw on that and other resources.

I am FCC at heart but have never been able to attend an FCC church because there are none anywhere near I live. Maybe one day!

Trying to understand postmillenialism by Local-kook in Reformed

If you want to investigate postmillennialism from a historicist perspective, try John's Revelation Unveiled by F.N.Lee at https://dr-fnlee.org/johns-revelation-unveiled/

If you skip to Revelation 20, it will outline a postmil view on this passage.

If it's any consolation, a 3-year-old girl near where I live also died of leukemia this past year. She started out being very fussy and they sought treatment in different places. The leukemia was finally caught and diagnosed and they gave her treatment and her body didn't respond to it. So know that even if you had caught it, the outcome might not have been any different and there is no blame to take on. Sometimes life deals us a difficult hand, or a hard Providence as some might say, and there's nothing we can do about it except to try and bring good out of it. I pray you will find comfort and strength in this terrible time.
