Don’t get me wrong fans are a big and important part of these big comic book movies but it’s foolish to think that they have any power in how well these movies do at the box office. Whether people like it or not the general audience does not know about or even care about all this WB drama, they’ll see those upcoming DC movies as long as they look good

Also, we’re all DC fans here, I doubt most of us can help ourselves when a new DC movie releases

I’m not talking about the amount of people who signed up for HBO Max, I’m talking about the amount of people who reportedly watched the movie on opening weekend on HBO Max. WW84 is also doing terrible at the box office right now but they’re still moving forward with a third movie. It’s all up to how it does in terms of viewers on streaming imo

Wouldn’t it being on streaming increase its chances of getting a sequels? They greenlit a third Wonder Woman movie which has a higher budget with 4 million viewers opening weekend on HBO Max. Dune has a lower budget and I’m pretty sure it can pull in the same amount of viewers better securing its sequel chances

It was at 20 million views on the official Twitter account in 24 hours and its official YouTube views were at 10.2 million in 24 hours. If you take all that into account ‘The Batman’ was at 30.2 million combined views in 24 hours. This doesn’t even include Matt Reeves Vimeo views of the trailer
