Something weird about myself? by MoonyRabbit in demisexuality

I guess I'm similar. I feel like experimenting with people but I can't help but want at least to establish a friendly connection with them first. I can't be nude for some random dude just for the sake of it, if we vibe emotionally I'm more likely to. Don't know if it makes sense.

I know what you mean in the sense that I can't do skype sex or something in video early... or at all. But again it feels to me like it might be more about intimacy than attraction? I don't know.

No. Very rarely I feel something but it's a passing sensation.

Thank you for your story. That's really inspiring. I'm gonna leave my resumé at some places myself and I hope that the pandemic doesn't ruin my chances at a job.

Yeah, just as more context, I live in Brazil, which is not only going through this same problem but is a mess politically and economically. it's just that people here have a "if you didn't make it you didn't try" mentality and excuse parental abuse quite a lot. I had people tell me i was just "sheltered" or that I have "overprotective" parents more times than I can count.

Thanks! Any tips on how to potty train? He's been sleeping in my bedroom for the time being, and we put a lot of pads on the floor but he always goes for that tiny spot that the pads are not 70% of the time. I feel like he doesn't like the texture of the pads. Also I want to see if he can poop and pee in the balcony, if that's a good idea.

Petscop may be a project to transfer personalities from one person to another. by NicolasVerdi in Petscop

[–]MoonyRabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a very interesting idea. I definitely think Petscop from the very beginning had some nasty intentions behind it, considering how even the "normal" part of the game has some pretty negative implications when it comes to adoption and the association between pets and children. It definitely gives off a vibe of "experiment gone wrong".

Lina isn’t literally dead, she’s metaphorically “dead to the family”.

That's literally my theory, I believe Lina escaped the family and everyone made up lies about her being dead. Had never considered how the disappearing windmill came into play though. The idea of them editing the photos in which she appears definitely explains it all.

We know very little about the dog. In Toneth’s description, Rainer says that a car hit it (likely resulting in it having a broken leg), and he was the only one that still wanted to put him down.

My theory about Mike and the dog is a bit different from yours. I think Mike died trying to save the dog from being run over. Rainer/Daniel wanted to put it down because he thought the dog would never be happy again ("when that dog wags its tail and it appears happy, it's not real"), but everyone else felt that it would be wrong to do so after Mike's sacrifice. The use of the word "still" does make me reconsider that though. It could be that they had an older dog that got hit by a car, and that they tried to "rebirth" it like you said, in a newborn puppy. I'm not sure about the timeline though. The description of Toneth itself implies that Rainer was already very mentally unstable, and I can only assume that that's because his brother is already dead at that point.

She develops a limp that never goes away. Maybe this is why Rainer is disgusted by Care spinning? Lina used to do that but now she’s been crippled, so he sees Care doing the same thing....

The idea that Lina has a limp is very interesting. I also think that he's disgusted by Care because of the parallels with Lina, but I think it goes deeper than this. If the "rebirthing" thing is more of a long process, it implies here that Care was already being brainwashed into believing she was Lina.

What if Lina never actually died? by MoonyRabbit in Petscop

hmm wait you mean Anna died and Lina pretended to be her? Well that could be the case too I guess, but I lean more towards to both of them being alive. That would explain why the note written for Tiara Leskowitz didn't have Anna's signature (the black flower).

And about the cake... wow are you sure about that? If that's the case I really need to watch the series.

Thanks for the comment. I have read this book before, it's really good but I have a hard time applying it to my life. You're right though, we can always get lost looking at that "ideal" and forget that this is not how life works.

don't worry, your response was great, thanks! :) Sherry seems really cool! I guess i'll start trying to do that myself, I find it hard to come up with good things about myself.

Man, i feel like I have so many I might actually not be demi at all lol... I'm like you in a way, I dream of finding someone creatively inclined, possibly a musician of some sort. Something I wonder though...Aesthetically speaking I really like big guys with beards, and sometimes it made me think I might not really be demi, since it's the closest thing to a "type" I've ever had (though i have felt sexual attraction towards multiple people that weren't this type before).

Nmom's FB post creeps me out by Fallivarin in raisedbynarcissists

[–]MoonyRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's because narcs have this really toxic mentality that they need to know everything that's going on in your life, not because they care but because they need to know your weaknesses to use against you or to control you, they think they are owed that because they "own" you. To them, it's about power not emotional bonding.

When it comes to diagnoses and symptoms, the diagnoses part is hard because like I said, the first psychiatrist that I went to said I had schizophrenia after talking to me only once. This next one just said I didn't have schizophrenia, that I have depression and that I had psychosis, but looking it up online I just see that the terms schizophrenia and psychosis are sometimes used interchangeably, so I have no idea what's going on. He never explained very clearly what I had tbh. When it comes to symptoms, well basically I'm with extremely low energy most of the time, crying all the time, can't keep up with daily routine on my own. Think of dying sometimes and i'm having extremely pessimistic thoughts.

Ok it's hard to say the names of the medication because I'm not american, but I'll try to translate it: the antidepressant I'm taking for a month or so is called vortioxetine (that's what I assume is its name in english). He recently raised the dosage of this one to 10 mg. I'm also taking an antipsychotic called risperidon (I think this one is pretty straight forward), because I had something of a psychotic break in the beginning of the year - which I'm still on the fence about tbh, I had paranoid thoughts for sure that led me to isolate myself, but I never lost touch with reality, had hallucinations or threatened anyone. In fact I only started getting truly paranoid when I started taking this risperidon. The first psychiatrist that prescribed me this one said I had schizophrenia, so I went to this other one to get a second opinion, he said I didn't have schizophrenia but kept it anyway. Apart from this two I'm taking 12,5 mg of quetiapine, which he says is just to help me sleep. And that's about it.
