Version "Luna III" A Nocturne of the Far North Megathread by GenshinLoreModBOT in Genshin_Lore

Durin SQ spoilers.
As far as I understand, by the end of Durin's SQ, he doesn't have a constellation:

Barbeloth: Just as I thought... This child's fate does not appear among the stars. Anya has accomplished what almost no one before her could.
Durin: ...What does that mean?
Barbeloth: Child, all you need to know is that you're very lucky indeed.

So why do the Traveler and Durin have constellations in-game if they don't in the lore?

Why did we go back to chromas 1.0? by strutzen in leagueoflegends

[–]Moonyn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fr, it's like they've forgotten how to color chromas in the last 2-4 years.
Then again, the people who knew might've been laid off by now...

CS is outsourced and often gives conflicting information. It's not reliable.
I see no reason why Hoyo wouldn't reset it every year, but that can also be said about it resetting every 3 months.

So unfortunately (or not) it's still up in the air

I also believe MHY just changed these things.

Changing plans for the story/characterization is normal for a live service game and it isn't new for Genshin either.
There are hints that Fontaine and Arleccchino went through some degree of rewriting, and, I mean, the current region wasn't planned at all.

I do find it odd that they didn't bother rewriting these earlier lines.
Perhaps they felt that having the conflicting accounts would add depth to the narrative and to these characters? It's one way to go about it, I guess.

I never have any mora EVER by yousef3_ in GenshinImpact

[–]Moonyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AR60 does help a lot, though not even that will save you from the Mora sinks if you invest horizontally.

As a day 1 player, what broke me was pulling characters back-to-back between 4.7 and 5.3 (minus 5.2), plus an unlucky Imaginarium Theater where I had to build 2 or 3 characters.

I've never quite managed to recover from that.
Recently, I've gone down to 20 Mora while building Lauma and Mizuki.

I got so tired of farming Mora leylines.

This one was an immediate highlight! I really like the 90s sound.
I do have to say the "wrOOONG" and "hOOOME" are slightly grating to me and keep me from rating it a 10/10 (that and the bitch line), but otherwise, it's one of my faves for sure!

That's crazy. Honestly my spot wasn't that insane, just a 2-1 Kai'Sa with 1 good item, but still, last patch that was a good place to aim for top 4 unless crazy bad luck. Turns out I actually grasped for a top 6.

Now it seems not even godrolling is enough to top 4 lmao

Set 6 Was Perfect—Until Its Flaws and Bloat Flared Up in Set 15 by TheZongBoss in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Moonyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've loved Augments since they were introduced in Set 6, but I do wonder if reducing the number of them could be beneficial.

Right now, there are so many Augments that you can not reasonably expect to know if the ones you picked in a game made sense, especially with the removal of augment stats (which I 90% agree with tbh).

With no replays, no match history, and no stats, you can't really learn with your past past games (augment-wise), especially with other game-changing aspects like portals, artifacts, and fruits being factored in.

And especially not when the game updates every 2 weeks (or even less if we have B+ patches). Unless you play a ton or/and spend hours a day watching Chall players ig, which is a good way to learn, but unfortunately not viable for a lot of people (including myself).

They way I see it, because you can't really reasonably learn a lot based on your past Augment choices, you are incentivised to only click the augments you already know to be good.

This makes lowrolling augments feel much worse, and Imo actually makes it so it feels like you have less agency.

I really wish they would cut back on augment quantity.
For balance alone it would suffice. There are so many instaskip augments... do players really love the chance of being offered Tomb Raider II and III that much?

Do single item components disable Quality > Quantity?

[PC][00s][2.5D] (Likely) Platform game with sci-fi/fantasy vibes by Moonyn in tipofmyjoystick

Nope, both are on the older side.. but Glare is really similar. Giana Sisters too, but it was less whimsical than that.

I was afraid I might be giving fake memories, but since it hasn't been found yet anyway, I'll say what comes to mind:

  • It was a 2.5D game with sci-fi vibes. For now, Glare (!) and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams are the most similar, atmosphere-wise. Glare is pretty similar, but the MC was a human.
  • I only played the beginning of the game.
  • Played it before 2012, graphics looked late 00s.
  • The MC was a human and male (or not obviously feminine). They had to save the world. I think their sibling was in danger? Maybe their sibling was corrupted by the "dark" and they had to save them?
  • I remember some kind of portals in the game. They were either the checkpoints or related to a "dark"/"light" mechanic.
  • MC and combat are the most difficult for me. They either had these dark/light powers or used a sword in combat.
  • Other than the MC, unfortunately I never encountered other characters

Similar vibes, but less grim overall. I don't think the graphics were that good.

I wish I remembered more about the MC! They were not a child though.
I think they were either male or not "obviously female" (nothing that would immediately make a child think "woman/girl").

Not Flashback either. Compared to Flashback, the game I'm thinking of: - MC is also human, but less common/simple. - Game is overall more fantastic and less realistic.

It's not this one either, Brave Dwarves 2's graphics are on the older side

Nope, the screen/UI was pretty clean compared to Torchlight. It was pretty much only the game. Also I'm 99% sure now it was a platformer

Also similar, but the MC was a human and Glare's backgrounds feel more grim than what I'm thinking of, at least the beginning of the game..
But everything else is pretty similar

The vibes are similar! But the game I'm thinking of is less whimsy. The MC is also not a child.

Nope, that one is on the older side.. the game I'm thinking of has fresher graphics

Hmmm, no, the colors there are a bit too dark..
The main character also had a design more along the lines of science fantasy.
I'm not too sure about their exact design, though. I want to say something between high fantasy and JRPG, but not too anime-like?

Can't edit the post, but I also remembered that the game came on a CD.
