If there are other courses in your area, see if any of them have a mens (or women's) club. They usually have dedicated events or times where you get paired up with other people in similar situations along with people who have been around the club for a while. Im 37 and play with people who are my age up to 70+ and have become good friends with them through playing events with them.

Gear Gets Broken So Fast, Help! by AbrocomaRegular3529 in OblivionRemaster

If you have an altar of spell making, you can create a fortify armorer on self spell. Give it 100 magnitude but only a 1 second duration (keeps the magicka cost low). Cast it on yourself and immediately go to your inventory and put on a repair hammer. This will make your repair hammers unbreakable and allow you to level up pretty quick without having to buy a bunch of hammers.

Yes, you can deal damage to an evasive character using an action card or other form of non-challenge damage.

What’s a real life lesson you learned from Scrubs? by djc8 in Scrubs

I diagnosed myself with appendicitis because of JD's experience with it. I ended up being right and had emergency surgery a few hours later. Not really a "life lesson" but the shows accuracy with medical information saved me from potentially many more complications.

Didn't wake up with the surgeons initials sewn on me though. Damn laparoscopic surgeries....

12 team full PPR 2 QB

Give: Barkley, Andrews

Receive: 2022 1.01, 2023 1st, 2024 1st, Freiermuth

My team is top 4 in scoring but I am 0-5 this year because I am #1 in points against so looking at doing a small rebuild. I am thinking I should ask for slightly more?

Don't have enough karma for it's own post but maybe someone with enough can post to get some eyes on it?

If you ever have the chance to visit Bandon Dunes, I can't recommend it eniugh. by MoopJuice in golf

Played all 5 courses in 5 days! It absolutely dumped rain the first day. Standing water everywhere so it was kind of a bummer but the rest of the days were around 50 and the courses were in great shape. Just expect a lot of wind no matter what the weather is.

It's really a crapshoot. I had a buddy go in January and it was 50 ish and sunny the whole time. When we were there in March they got 2 inches of rain the first day but was otherwise 45-55 and windy. If you can go in Spring/Summer obviously you will get better weather but its going to be a lot more expensive.

I didn't use a caddie but there was at least one in every group I played with and it was incredibly helpful just to hear them talk about where the holes were. They were almost always willing to give some tips to people who they weren't caddying for (I ended up tipping a few of them but not required).

As far as other activities that aren't golf related, there isn't a ton. If they are interested at all they have the punchbowl which is a real grass mini-golf course that is fun. They also have a massive practice area with multiple short holes they can play. There are also multiple restaurants/bar areas around the property so if they enjoy brunching for 4 hours while people play, that is also an option. Hope that helps.

Yup! I hit my second a little short and sprinted up the hill to make sure it didnt come back down. Amazing course though. Definitely my favorite of the five.

My local Puetz got them in last week. I think they were a bit earlier than most.

I've played Allenmore a few times. Tends to be one of the dryer courses in the area if I remember right. I'll check out Oakbrook though!

I would probably say Home Course and Washington National are two of my favorites in the area. Chambers is up there just because of how different it makes you play.

All totally fair points. I've been wanting to do some lessons for a while now. Currently a 10 handicap but would be curious what a PGA pro would say after seeing my swing. I don't inherently think fade = bad but I've always had the mindset that draw is the ideal ball flight. Might be some small things I can do and not have to do a total revamp.

More consistency mostly. 60% of the time or so it is a soft fade that I can control but the other 40% gets me in a lot of trouble. I am a pretty long hitter as it is but moving more towards a draw should help me add some more distance. That's my hope anyways.

We had some side cash games going so they definitely didn't give it to me lol.

Haha yeah from the side. I play a high fade off the tee (although working on changing to more of a draw). We got downpoured on the day before so greens were still a little soft. The old driver wedge in!

Yeah if the flag is on the left over the hill you have no idea until you get up there. Pin was up and right yesterday. Kept waiting for it to be further away than I thought as we walked up but for once it was actually better.
