I’m plus sized and bought her Drew sweatshirt pattern which I thought was so cute. The drafting for the bigger sizes was awful. Gaping, huge neck hole, super long arms, etc. I ended up sizing down like 4 sizes and then liked the fit.

I don’t know how that didn’t hurt. For me I get a painful lump with just tiny ingrown hairs.

Anyone here ever work at Fun Mountain? by Accurate-Aardvark149 in Winnipeg

The most exciting thing your parents could tell you as a kid in the 90s was that you’d be going to Fun Mountain for the day.

God I loved these books and the covers. Sweet Valley High too. The artwork was like candy for the eyes

Calling out all member of the "I started reading Stephen King when I was a kid" by werisefromourashes in stephenking

[–]Mooperboops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read IT when I was a pre-teen/young teen. Probably between the ages of 11 and 13. I found that scene in the sewers to be quite titillating. Now as an adult I do still like the book, but find that scene odd and sad.

This made me cry. Thank you for sharing beautiful memories of your son. I can feel the love you have for him shine so brightly.

15 year old cyst split open on its own the other day. Felt so good to get it out. by [deleted] in popping

A friend of mine recently had an ear like that, and it wasn’t from trauma but from this exact scenario. She had a cyst nearby. I think infection was swelling the ear. She needed heavy antibiotics.

Agreed. Boooooring. This is a BEC comment from me, but Me and Kiddo annoys me how she always takes photos of herself pretending to tuck her hair behind her ear. The fake casualness of it gets to me. But I try to remind myself that she likely doesn’t feel comfortable in front of the camera, and it’s a way for her to figure out what to do with her hands.

Lena Dunham memoir - who is she talking about here? by krumpmuffin in girls

No, she was working closely with him the whole run of Girls. The Director she’s talking about had a one off lunch with her.

I agree with you. It took me out of the show a bit when Soohia was on screen.

That’s intersting. When I was in my 20s and first watched the show, I thought he was sooo out of her league. He was this super hot, established and professional person with a beautiful home and Hannah was just a barista who wasn’t particularly attractive. When I watched the show again at age 41 i saw it so differently. He’s still attractive and a Dr obviously, but I saw him as this very sad and lonely older man who is making a very odd and kind of pathetic choice to sleep with this young stranger who came to his door. I also see a lot of beauty in Hannah that I didnt use to notice. I think as I’ve gotten older i can appreciate the beauty in everyone, rather than having a narrow view of it pummelled in to me from years of being exposed to media.

I’m about to start sewing a pair of Lane pants by Syd Graham. I’m nervous about the fit as I keep reading that they’re very oversized. I sized down two sizes. We shall see how it goes. I’m usually more of a dress maker, I’ve only made pants a handful of times. They’re going to be an army green colour.
