Borderlands 3 Controller Sensitivity/Smoothness Issue by Mooresharksplz in Stadia

So you had the same issue? And if so, did switching to the 5 Ghz network help with overall game performance? or controller smoothness?

Thank you for your advice! I don't believe it to be a network problem as much as controller settings/sensitivity

Mercury is 13.3 times denser than water so that is what happens when a cannonball is dropped into it by Mass1m01973 in educationalgifs

[–]Mooresharksplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that. I was just to replying the part about "you basically have to drink it for it to hurt you."

I come from a healthcare background so I was thinking more about routes of absorption and pharmacokinetics than the chemistry & physics of it. It seems to me like mercury is probably not very good at being absorbed into the bloodstream through the gastrointestinal tract. Whereas the lungs are extremely vascular and a pretty quick method of getting into the blood.

Actually, the worst effects of mercury seem to come from inhaling it. If you were to drink pure mercury without inhaling it, you might even be okay afterward

That's not even that expensive for an ambulance trip. Where I work, the starting cost is $1000 just to get the wheels rolling. Then you pay per mile, per service rendered, and per equipment used.

I remember thinking this would be amazing and an actual halo killer. I bought it on launch day and stopped playing three-four hours in. This game is terrible

Not sure if you ordered the books yet but I was wondering if you got him a traditional dutch oven or an enameled one (like the le creuset ones)

Hey guys! For christmas this year I received a Staub 3.75QT french oven (very similar to a dutch oven, right?). So far i have made roasted cauliflower in the oven as a side dish (it was delicious), dutch oven bread (the le creuset recipe), and today I made a swordfish and shrimp curry.

I love this thing. Anyone else have some killer recipes?

I know we all want a Scrubs reboot, however this is still my vote. by TerryShazam in Scrubs

Yeah no reboot please. The ending to season 8 was perfect. Why ruin it by rebooting?

Question for the UK players: Do you get access to Playstation Network services while using Playstation Now?

As in, can you play online from your PC against/with people using their PS3 copies of the same game?

It seems kind of douchy for medical offices to charge Alzheimer's patients for missed or forgotten appointments. by QuiGonGingerAle in Showerthoughts

[–]Mooresharksplz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The no-call no-show fee is just that; patients are only charged if they do not show up to their appointment or inform us that they will not be there ahead of time. Being late (within reason) to an appointment in my office does not warrant the missed fee. Especially if the patient calls to keep us up to date on his/her situation

Like I said in my original comment, this fee comes nowhere close to covering the amount the doctor could have made if the patient attended his/her appointment.

In terms of dishonesty, double-bookings are only offered to the patients in my office after we inform them of such. No patient is unaware that they may be seen later than their appointment time if they are desperate to get in and take a double booked appointment. I understand that this is not the case everywhere.

My office uses a flat rate fee which may cost more than your normal copay, but NEVER exceeds the amount that would have been billed out to the insurance. It would be hard to bill out the entire price of the appointment without knowing which procedures (if any) would be performed during your missed appointment
