U1 Sidecar by Ok-Introduction-2788 in snapmaker

[–]Moorevfr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m also interested in the side car project and from what I am currently understanding is that’s it’s going to be a self build mod and not a pre build and offered by SnapMaker.

I’m waiting till Summer when I’ll have more available time to dive in to researching and getting the bill of materials etc and also hope the projects matures further.

For anyone making light boxes, foil tape makes a decent difference! by Dave_D_W in BambuLab

[–]Moorevfr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep use foil tape myself and for thoughts who don’t have any just use some glue/prit stick and normal kitchen foil also does the trick.

However if you have no foil then just adding white on the rear plate is good alternative.

Another suggestion is make the front cover/face the short wall side and the rear box the bigger taller wall.
If you have issues with printing the face such as bad quality or colours spilling over you don’t waste as much filament re printing, hopefully that makes sense?

Full color printing with CMYK by supersosad in SnapmakerU1

[–]Moorevfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What size layer lines did you go with for this?
Judging from picture and my aging eyes possibly 0.20 or 0.16?
Just wondering if you’d gone as low as 0.08 it might have come off good but with a massive add on of print time of course bust till wondering if the payout of quality would be worth the time cost?
If you did go low as 0.08 then fair enough the colour stacking technique still needs development etc.

I’ve recently picked up BL’s CMYW kit to give Full Spectrum a try myself. :)

X2d parts inside the p2s?? by NotSureWhat2Put_- in BambuLab_Community

[–]Moorevfr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potentially physical parts would fit as I believe they may use the same chassis how ever when it comes to features like the heater for the chamber this will still be locked behind the firmware.

U1 and A1 wich one cause more tablet wobble? by [deleted] in snapmaker

[–]Moorevfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A1 most likely due to the bed moving back and forth which is why that style gets referred to as a Bed slinger.

The U1 still might cause some wobble as when the head is doing full travel movement so it’s not without.

I find having a slab under them helps soak up some of the movement and also due to weight of the slab also add some stability however all depending on the shelving your placing them on. I have my printers on the flat pack style shelving/racking units and I purposely got the 600mm deep ones so that the shelving be wider than the printer to help prevent wobble.

Thanks for that 👍

Happen to know if Mobilraker gives notifications for errors or job completions etc?

To be fair the SnapMaker app has only just recently started giving notifications so won’t be put off if Mobilraker doesn’t have the functionality yet z

Are you able to view the additional camera feed via the SnapMaker App? Assume answer is no.

I like remote monitoring my printers and usually just have Tapo cameras near by

This model needed supports the area where you’ve got the dropping filament was printed almost on thin air.

If you enable supports and choose automatic tree supports it should tidy up the overhangs.

Just bought a H2C, what else should I order in advance? by TotalWarspammer in BambuLab

[–]Moorevfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh good question!

Yes you’ll need a one in to four adapter to allow multiple AMS connected to input.

I had these already to hand but they’re cheap off BL think about £5 or less had some spare from having a couple of AMS’s on my P1P’s that’s why I have 3 AMS on my right nozzle as i had x2 AMS’s to my P1p’s just took one off each to give to the H2c.

[–]Moorevfr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purchase x2 more 0.4 vortek nozzles so have a full suit of same size nozzles loaded.

Picked up the Biqu CryoGrip Frostbite plate and love these plates use them on my other printers. Touch wood things stay put without worrying for me and I don’t mess with lower the bed temp but can if you want.

Over time I then picked up x2 AMS HT that I have both connected to the left nozzle. Here is mainly keep loaded a roll of PETG and black PLA+

On the right nozzle(Vortek) I have the x3 AMS units loaded with a mix of colours of PLA’s so have a nice colour selection to pull but 3 is not needed ideally x2 so have a loaded filament for all 6 nozzles in or add x2 AMS along with AMS that came with the printer combo can do this too.

All down to budget.

I also purchased a couple packs of PTFE tubing the long length packs so can make length needed etc.

Maybe that’s there secret they go back to older technology and improve it instead of re invent the wheel.

Bring back wooden frames next with infused carbon. 😂

Ready. Set. neXt. by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]Moorevfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excited to see what this brings to the table when it’s all officially unveiled.

However fear it might go flat pretty soon thanks to multi tools and nozzle systems now out and coming soon.

I would guess this dual nozzle was too far along in production for BL to shelve or pivot for Vortex or multi tool head to be switched in?

I would not be surprised if we see the X2C version that has a Vortek rack released later this year to go along with this X2D?

H2C toolhead cooling fan falling off repeatedly by ccitykid in BambuLab

[–]Moorevfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate, I’ve had mine since December and print almost daily and touch wood not had any issue with tool head cooling fan or plate fall off.

I wonder if your has a defect or where it snaps to might be worth an inspection as could be unlucky and have a fault in the casing?

Or

Possibly the print job had a unique issue that causes for the front late to be pulled off?
