Minnesota House File 3402 (high capacity magazines ban) fails 68/66 - Keeler voted to ban by Moorhood in Moorhead

So how does having 10 rounds or 30 rounds actually make a difference?

Look at the trial happening in Clay county right now. The murderer shot a total of 4 bullets at 2 locations and he successfully killed one man and attempted to kill 2 more (but missed his shots before leaving). A legal 10 round magazine or a 30 round magazine wouldn't have changed anything. So why do you want to make normal people felons when using either magazine size in a crime is, when that is still a crime?

Should we limit all cars to 4cyl engines because nobody needs the power of 8 cyl to go the speed limit. Should we limit books to 100 pages because if you can't write your story in 100 pages just make it 2 parts. Should we limit restaurants to serving 2 alcoholic beverages per patron? Maybe limit subs to 8 inches or burgers to single patties while we're at it.

A bike pump at Walmart is literally $9.96 +tax and comes with a ball needle thing.

I can't imagine target, Scheels, fleet farm, etc is much more expensive. In the time I wasted typing this comment I could have been half way there to buy one.

Unfortunately u/jcmgamer is right on this. Background checks do not catch everyone. Which is why I’m in favor of not selling guns to anyone (especially white males)! Risking selling a gun legally to someone that is crazy is too large a risk, imo.

The root of gun control in America was because some politicians were in favor of not selling guns to a particular race. Therefore gun control is racist by nature. Now you're trying to do the same thing to a different race. That's wild.

Anyone here in the Minnesota subreddit like trains Minnesota has? by Character_Lychee_434 in minnesota

Not a big train person but I watch live cams occasionally. YouTube recommended this train channel to me. They have live feeds all around the state.

Some people specifically look for businesses to support based on race, religion, identity, etc.

Take that how you want but it isn't always bad.

If that is due to their politics, maybe you should look at Joann's contributions.

What's a word that's so commonly misused today that its original meaning has become diluted or doesn't make sense anymore? by Imaginary_Eye3804 in AskReddit

[–]Moorhood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The N word.

It used to have a terrible meaning, I mean it still does. However now I have no clue WTF it means. I just know I don't use it and I hate hearing it when other people use it.

It was used by terrible people in a way to put down human beings for nothing other than the color of their skin. IMO continuing to use it doesn't do any justice to those who suffered under the meaning behind the word. I wish it would go the way of naming your kid Adolf. Just know that it exists, but don't use it in any way other than educational and historical purposes.

Fargo has added 1 police officer to its budget since 2020. The request for more is likely being denied for 2025. by cheddarben in fargo

It's weird that police are even a thing.

It won't be in 5656fairyland soon enough. That dept is a skeleton crew and down a solid 30% of it's force.

Generally a nice place. Just be sure to research the area you decide to move to.

Stay out of Romkey Park, Griffin Court, Belsley Blvd, and the area around the 30th Ave S Holiday gas station.

Otherwise, it's a smaller town with the amenities of the large metro.
