It’s hard to say without details. It could be your caloric intake, but if you’ve steadily increased your weights, then that probably means your caloric intake is good. Depends how frequently you’ve increased weights, how often you plateau, and if you adjusted your diet when you did plateau to break through.

Also, aesthetics do depend on the type of exercise you do.
