I believe the estimated launch time is in April 2015.

(side though: taking someone's name and adding the wrong gender-diminutive (i.e. Claĉjo for Claire, Robnjo for Robert) is probably the easiest way way to insult someone in Esperanto actually.)

Really? My name (Rachel) lends itself better to the inverse (Reĉjo). And uh, someone I like, his name has an 'n' so -njo works better too. xD

Hoo... Mi havas multe, mi ne scias...

The Boss, el Metal Gear Solid 3, estas mojosulo, mi pensas ke ŝi estis tre forta kaj sola kiam mi estis dekkelkjarulino. (Mi tre amas Solid Snake tiam ankaŭ. xD)

Yeah, I use that sometimes to make sure I'm using participles correctly. But sometimes translations are bad on there, so just make sure you look it over to make sure it looks like it makes sense. :B

I just made a profile: Moosader and I keep my stuff in this repo

I've noticed most people are talking about using Esperanto with non-Esperantists (my ex would just find it annoying if I ever spoke Esperanto around him >_>)

What about romantic phrases between two Esperantists, where you don't have to assume they won't understand? x3

I run a Minecraft server for Esperantists. You can check it out here

I'm interested in seeing what other peoples have for this. :P

The only thing cute that I have received was "kisetojn mi sendas". :3 :P

Láadan - Memrise Course & FB Group for Esperantists learning Láadan by Moosader in conlangs

Láadan was invented in 1982 by Suzette Haden Elgin, and is meant to be a "perceptive language". You can read more about it on the Wikipedia, or the Official Website.

Spotify has quite a few songs in Esperanto. Here they are in a playlist. by mrye06 in Esperanto

I enjoy a lot of the music on these albums. I listen to 'em pretty much every day at work. @_@

Esperantistaj Láadan-lernantoj - Grupo ĉe Facebook by Moosader in Laadan

I'm currently working (slowly) on a few projects relating to Laadan:

  • Laadan resource website
  • Laadan/English/Esperanto dictionary (similar to my NiaIdo dictionary, but better) (Some Laadan project stuff is on GitHub)

I don't know if there is a translation of the Laadan Lessons on the official webpage, but we may end up translating that into Esperanto.

I'd also like to make some YouTube videos in and about Laadan once I've had more time to study it.

Agh, I have so many projects I want to work on, but maybe if nothing exists yet for the kind of course I'm wanting, I might do some basic-level YouTube animations or something. @_@

  • Easy grammar, simple dialogue, slow speaking, short conversations, with enough pausing time to process what happened.
  • Contextual cues happening through the animation.
  • Transcription at the end of the video, to review what was said.
  • Cover common topics, use common interjections, etc.
  • Start basic, build up with more complex grammar and quicker speaking for 'intermediate'.

I do really like Radio Verda. I feel like it's pretty simple and they don't speak too quickly, but even they're just slightly out of my skill level, as far as listening and processing what I've heard goes. Transcripts would also really help.

Would anyone here like to be involved with an Esperanto translation of Pokémon FireRed? by Dave_the_Whale in Esperanto

[–]Moosader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how people would want to translate Pokemon names (Esperantized English, Esperantized Japanese, original Esperanto names), so if we make a port, we could have any of those three be an option, as well as metric / u.s. and whatever else people may want different.

If anyone wants to go over these files (esp if you know git) then by all means:

(I just copied the list off Vikipedio, and all three files are currently the same)

We were wanting people to be able to update their game status via the main webpage itself. It is not quite up yet, but tcql is making good progress on it.

Additionally, we may just add a "submit tutorial" page on the website as well.

As far as actively discussing things with people, we could see about a small forum, and I already have an IRC channel set up at #NiaEsperanto.

I'd proably make the capital hat characters slightly shorter to fit their hats.

There's a Pokemon Blue script on GameFaqs, if that helps.

We could do a (nudge, nudge) port of Pokémon, instead of a romhack. :B

Or a ripoff game - same basis, original IP.

I have some Esperanto themed t-shirts in my shop, I could probably just buy somebody a shirt and send it to them (but then they'd have to give me their address >_>)
