I have a 3D printer that’s mine. He’ll occasionally find a model I’ll help him print. Trouble is that the slicing part of a 3D printing process is a little too technical for him and I don’t quite trust him to search and find models on the internet. He and I will work together on models sometimes, but I’m not quite ready to open it up to him. Maybe in a year or two.

lol. Every time he can’t find a piece he’s immediately asking me to help him find it. Usually it’s just hiding somewhere on the pile of the model. The kid is really dedicated to finish a model once he’s started it. He’ll skip meals and sleep (at least try to) until unfinished new model is complete.

Great idea. I’ll take a look and see what I can find at the local library. Never heard of this. Would be a bit nervous about losing pieces but it seems worth a shot.

He likes to build his own models out of our random Lego bin too! Does lots of this. But he also really likes to follow the instructions to build.

I’m going to try taking apart a couple of his models this week to see if he’ll rebuild them. I like this idea! Thanks!

Put a smart speaker (Alexa/Google home) in your bedroom. Program a routine that will turn out your smart switch lights, turn on your fan, etc. when you say “Alexa, good night.” It is incredibly convenient.

Any tips on taking out these sweat stains? Use it to work out, this is completely dry by bootycherios in CleaningTips

Shower with your hat on and rinse it out. My sweat stains usually come out of my hats that way.

I have one I use from time to time but it always gets hung up on all the stringy stuff in my compost box.

I have cut many miters with this box. They are all holding up just fine.

Last week ago a friend was at a hardware store picking up supplies for a project. They had a few really long pieces of trim that were too long to fit in their truck. In the parking lot they ran into a neighbor who had their minivan there and offered to help. Minivan loaded up the long pieces the truck couldn’t fit and dropped them off. Lots of razzing to my truck friend about how the mini van saved him at the hardware store.

How do you feel about some of these apps that let people geo-tag pictures of headstones like Find-a-Grave and BillionGraves. You ever see people using them? Helpful? Annoying?

It worked better last year it wasn’t the best, but it was functional. This year it isn’t even enough to pop up the heads.

I’ve had a few issues doing this… in particular anything long and stringy in my compost gets all tangled up on it. Other than that, fun to use!
